Yanlei Xu, Xue Cong, Yuting Zhai, Zhiyuan Gao, Helong Yu*

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.37, No.3, pp. 3019-3037, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.040330

Abstract To solve inefficient water stress classification of spinach seedlings under complex background, this study proposed an automatic classification method for the water stress level of spinach seedlings based on the N-MobileNetXt (NCAM+MobileNetXt) network. Firstly, this study reconstructed the Sandglass Block to effectively increase the model accuracy; secondly, this study introduced the group convolution module and a two-dimensional adaptive average pool, which can significantly compress the model parameters and enhance the model robustness separately; finally, this study innovatively proposed the Normalization-based Channel Attention Module (NCAM) to enhance the image features obviously. The experimental results showed that the classification accuracy of N-MobileNetXt… More >

Automatic Classification of Superimposed Modulations for 5G MIMO Two-Way Cognitive Relay Networks

    Haithem Ben Chikha, Ahmad Almadhor*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.70, No.1, pp. 1799-1814, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.018819

Abstract To promote reliable and secure communications in the cognitive radio network, the automatic modulation classification algorithms have been mainly proposed to estimate a single modulation. In this paper, we address the classification of superimposed modulations dedicated to 5G multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) two-way cognitive relay network in realistic channels modeled with Nakagami- distribution. Our purpose consists of classifying pairs of users modulations from superimposed signals. To achieve this goal, we apply the higher-order statistics in conjunction with the MultiBoostAB classifier. We use several efficiency metrics including the true positive (TP) rate, false positive (FP) rate, precision, recall, F-Measure and receiver operating… More >

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.128, No.1, pp. 203-222, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2021.015159

Abstract This paper proposes a computer-aided diagnosis system which can automatically detect thyroid nodules (TNs) and discriminate them as benign or malignant. The system firstly uses variational level set active contour with gradients and phase information to complete automatic extraction of the boundaries of thyroid nodules images. Then according to thyroid ultrasound images and clinical diagnostic criteria, a new feature extraction method based on the fusion of shape, gray and texture is explored. Due to the imbalance of thyroid sample classes, this paper introduces a weight factor to improve support vector machine, offering different classes of samples with different weights. Finally,… More >
