Deep Learning Based Distributed Intrusion Detection in Secure Cyber Physical Systems

    P. Ramadevi1,*, K. N. Baluprithviraj2, V. Ayyem Pillai3, Kamalraj Subramaniam4

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.34, No.3, pp. 2067-2081, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.026377

Abstract Cyber Physical Systems (CPSs) are network systems containing cyber (computation, communication) and physical (sensors, actuators) components that interact with each other through feedback loop with the help of human intervention. The dynamic and disseminated characteristics of CPS environment makes it vulnerable to threats that exist in virtualization process. Due to this, several security issues are presented in CPS. In order to address the challenges, there is a need exists to extend the conventional security solutions such as Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) to handle high speed network data traffic and adaptive network pattern in cloud. Additionally, the identification of feasible network… More >

Deep Learning with Image Classification Based Secure CPS for Healthcare Sector

    Ahmed S. Almasoud1, Abdelzahir Abdelmaboud2, Faisal S. Alsubaei3, Manar Ahmed Hamza4,*, Ishfaq Yaseen4, Mohammed Abaker5, Abdelwahed Motwakel4, Mohammed Rizwanullah4

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.72, No.2, pp. 2633-2648, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.024619

Abstract Cyber-Physical System (CPS) involves the combination of physical processes with computation and communication systems. The recent advancements made in cloud computing, Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), healthcare sensors, etc. tend to develop CPS as a proficient model for healthcare applications especially, home patient care. Though several techniques have been proposed earlier related to CPS structures, only a handful of studies has focused on the design of CPS models for health care sector. So, the proposal for a dedicated CPS model for healthcare sector necessitates a significant interest to ensure data privacy. To overcome the challenges, the current research paper designs a… More >

Online And Offline Scheduling Schemes to Maximize the Weighted Delivered Video Packets Towards Maritime Cpss

    Tingting Yang1, Hailong Feng1, Chengming Yang2, Ge Guo3, Tieshan Li1

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.33, No.2, pp. 157-164, 2018, DOI:10.32604/csse.2018.33.157

Abstract In this paper, the online and offline scheduling schemes towards maritime Cyber Physical Systems (CPSs), to transmit video packets generating from the interior of vessel. During the sailing from the origin port to destination port, the video packets could be delivered via the infostations shoreside. The video packets have their respective release times, deadlines, weights and processing time. The video packets only could be successfully transmitted before their deadlines. A mathematic job-machine problem is mapped. Facing distinguished challenges with unique characteristics imposed in maritime scenario, we focus on the heterogeneous networking and resource optimal scheduling technology to provide valuable insights… More >

    Yonghong Zhang1,2, Guangyi Ma1,2,*, Wei Tian3, Jiangeng Wang4, Shiwei Chen1,2

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.124, No.3, pp. 1149-1165, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2020.010932

Abstract Snow cover is an important parameter in the fields of computer modeling, engineering technology and energy development. With the extensive growth of novel hardware and software compositions creating smart, cyber physical systems’ (CPS) efficient end-to-end workflows. In order to provide accurate snow detection results for the CPS’s terminal, this paper proposed a snow cover detection algorithm based on the unsupervised Gaussian mixture model (GMM) for the FY-4A satellite data. At present, most snow cover detection algorithms mainly utilize the characteristics of the optical spectrum, which is based on the normalized difference snow index (NDSI) with thresholds in different wavebands. These… More >
