Royal Crown Shaped Polarization Insensitive Perfect Metamaterial Absorber for C-, X-, and Ku-Band Applications

Md. Salah Uddin Afsar1, Mohammad Rashed Iqbal Faruque1,*, Sabirin Abdullah1, Mohammad Tariqul Islam2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.76, No.1, pp. 455-469, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.036655

Abstract This study proposed a new royal crown-shaped polarisation insensitive double negative triple band microwave range electromagnetic metamaterial absorber (MA). The primary purpose of this study is to utilise the exotic characteristics of this perfect metamaterial absorber (PMA) for microwave wireless communications. The fundamental unit cell of the proposed MA consists of two pentagonal-shaped resonators and two inverse C-shaped metallic components surrounded by a split ring resonator (SRR). The bottom thin copper deposit and upper metallic resonator surface are disjoined by an FR-4 dielectric substrate with 1.6 mm thickness. The CST MW studio, a high-frequency electromagnetic simulator has been deployed for… More >

Optimized Tuning of LOADng Routing Protocol Parameters for IoT

    Divya Sharma1,*, Sanjay Jain2, Vivek Maik3

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.46, No.2, pp. 1549-1561, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.035031

Abstract Interconnected devices and intelligent applications have slashed human intervention in the Internet of Things (IoT), making it possible to accomplish tasks with less human interaction. However, it faces many problems, including lower capacity links, energy utilization, enhancement of resources and limited resources due to its openness, heterogeneity, limited resources and extensiveness. It is challenging to route packets in such a constrained environment. In an IoT network constrained by limited resources, minimal routing control overhead is required without packet loss. Such constrained environments can be improved through the optimal routing protocol. It is challenging to route packets in such a constrained… More >

Secure and Optimal LOADng Routing for IoT with Composite Routing Metric

    Divya Sharma1,*, Sanjay Jain2, Vivek Maik3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.74, No.1, pp. 655-669, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.032207

Abstract Security is the one of the major challenges for routing the data between the source and destination in an Internet of Things (IoT) network. To overcome this challenge, a secure Lightweight On-demand Ad hoc Distance-vector—Next Generation (LOADng) Routing Protocol is proposed in this paper. As the LOADng protocol is the second version of Ad Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (AODV) protocol, it retains most of the basic functionality and characteristics of AODV. During the route discovery process, the cyclic shift transposition algorithm (CSTA) is used to encrypt the control packets of the LOADng protocol to improve its security. CSTA approach only… More >

Energy Efficient Clustering and Optimized LOADng Protocol for IoT

    Divya Sharma1,*, Sanjay Jain2, Vivek Maik3

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.34, No.1, pp. 357-370, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.025637

Abstract In recent years, the use of Internet of Things (IoT) devices has increased exponentially due to the advancement of information and communication technologies. Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are vital in the development of IoT and include low-cost smart devices for data collection. However, such smart devices hold some restrictions in terms of calculation, processing, storage, and energy resources. With such constraints, one of the primary difficulties for the WSN is to achieve the lowest possible energy consumption across the network. This article aims to develop an Energy-Efficient cluster-based Lightweight On-Demand Ad hoc Distance Vector Routing Protocol–Next Generation (LOADng) routing protocol… More >

Left-Handed Characteristics Tunable C-Shaped Varactor Loaded Textile Metamaterial for Microwave Applications

    Samir Salem Al-Bawri1, Mohammad Tariqul Islam2,*, Kabir Hossain3,4, Thennarasan Sabapathy3,4, Muzammil Jusoh3,4

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.71, No.1, pp. 611-628, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.021244

Abstract This paper presents a textile-based C-shaped split-ring resonators (SRR) metamaterial (MTM) unit cells with an electrical tunability function. The proposed MTM was composed of two symmetrical C-shaped SRR combined with a central diagonal metal bar, whereas the RF varactor diode is placed on the backside of the splitted ground plane. Stopband behavior of single and array MTM unit cells were analyzed while the achieved negative index physical characteristics were widely studies. Though four different MTM arrays (i.e., 1 × 1, 1 × 2, 2 × 1, and 2 × 2) were analyzed in simulation, a 2 × 2-unit cell array… More >
