The aforesaid model is analyzed by employing Caputo fractional derivative. We deliberated three stimulating examples that correspond to the triple and quadruple Elzaki transform decomposition methods, respectively. The findings illustrate that the established approaches are extremely helpful in obtaining exact and approximate solutions to the problems. The exact and estimated solutions are delineated via numerical simulation. The proposed analysis indicates that the projected configuration is extremely meticulous, highly efficient, and precise in understanding the behavior… More >

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.136, No.3, pp. 2451-2463, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.021145

Abstract The low-field nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) technique has been used to probe the pore size distribution and the fluid composition in geophysical prospecting and related fields. However, the speed and accuracy of the existing numerical inversion methods are still challenging due to the ill-posed nature of the first kind Fredholm integral equation and the contamination of the noises. This paper proposes a novel inversion algorithm to accelerate the convergence and enhance the precision using empirical truncated singular value decompositions (TSVD) and the linearized Bregman iteration. The L1 penalty term is applied to construct the objective function, and then the linearized… More > Graphic Abstract

Extraction of Strain Characteristic Signals from Wind Turbine Blades Based on EEMD-WT

    Jin Wang1, Zhen Liu1,*, Ying Wang1, Caifeng Wen2,3, Jianwen Wang2,3

    Energy Engineering, Vol.120, No.5, pp. 1149-1162, 2023, DOI:10.32604/ee.2023.025209

Abstract Analyzing the strain signal of wind turbine blade is the key to studying the load of wind turbine blade, so as to ensure the safe and stable operation of wind turbine in natural environment. The strain signal of the wind turbine blade under continuous crosswind state has typical non-stationary and unsteady characteristics. The strain signal contains a lot of noise, which makes the analysis error. Therefore, it is very important to denoise and extract features of measured signals before signal analysis. In this paper, the joint algorithm of ensemble empirical mode decomposition (EEMD) and wavelet transform (WT) is used for… More >

    Lei Wang1, Tiecheng Li1, Hui Fan2, Xuekai Hu1, Lin Yang3, Xiaomei Yang3,*

    Energy Engineering, Vol.120, No.4, pp. 851-867, 2023, DOI:10.32604/ee.2023.025383

Abstract In recent years, subsynchronous resonance (SSR) has frequently occurred in DFIG-connected series-compensated systems. For the analysis and prevention, it is of great importance to achieve wide area monitoring of the incident. This paper presents a Hankel dynamic mode decomposition (DMD) method to identify SSR parameters using synchrophasor data. The basic idea is to employ the DMD technique to explore the subspace of Hankel matrices constructed by synchrophasors. It is analytically demonstrated that the subspace of these Hankel matrices is a combination of fundamental and SSR modes. Therefore, the SSR parameters can be calculated once the modal parameter is extracted. Compared… More >

Abstract Many kinds of electrical equipment are used in civil and building engineering. The motor is one of the main power components of this electrical equipment, which can provide stable power output. During the long-term use of motors, various motor faults may occur, which affects the normal use of electrical equipment and even causes accidents. It is significant to apply fault diagnosis for the motors at the construction site. Aiming at the problem that signal data of faulty motor lack diversity, this research designs a multi-layer perceptron Wasserstein generative adversarial network, which is used to enhance training data through distribution fusion.… More >

    Amel Ali Alhussan1,*, Hanaa A. Abdallah2, Sara Alsodairi2, Abdelhamied A. Ateya3

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.46, No.1, pp. 403-416, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.035048

Abstract Securing medical data while transmission on the network is required because it is sensitive and life-dependent data. Many methods are used for protection, such as Steganography, Digital Signature, Cryptography, and Watermarking. This paper introduces a novel robust algorithm that combines discrete wavelet transform (DWT), discrete cosine transform (DCT), and singular value decomposition (SVD) digital image-watermarking algorithms. The host image is decomposed using a two-dimensional DWT (2D-DWT) to approximate low-frequency sub-bands in the embedding process. Then the sub-band low-high (LH) is decomposed using 2D-DWT to four new sub-bands. The resulting sub-band low-high (LH1) is decomposed using 2D-DWT to four new sub-bands.… More >

A New Hybrid Hierarchical Parallel Algorithm to Enhance the Performance of Large-Scale Structural Analysis Based on Heterogeneous Multicore Clusters

    Gaoyuan Yu1, Yunfeng Lou2, Hang Dong3, Junjie Li1, Xianlong Jin1,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.136, No.1, pp. 135-155, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.025166

Abstract Heterogeneous multicore clusters are becoming more popular for high-performance computing due to their great computing power and cost-to-performance effectiveness nowadays. Nevertheless, parallel efficiency degradation is still a problem in large-scale structural analysis based on heterogeneous multicore clusters. To solve it, a hybrid hierarchical parallel algorithm (HHPA) is proposed on the basis of the conventional domain decomposition algorithm (CDDA) and the parallel sparse solver. In this new algorithm, a three-layer parallelization of the computational procedure is introduced to enable the separation of the communication of inter-nodes, heterogeneous-core-groups (HCGs) and inside-heterogeneous-core-groups through mapping computing tasks to various hardware layers. This approach can… More >

Abstract The field of healthcare is considered to be the most promising application of intelligent sensor networks. However, the security and privacy protection of medical images collected by intelligent sensor networks is a hot problem that has attracted more and more attention. Fortunately, digital watermarking provides an effective method to solve this problem. In order to improve the robustness of the medical image watermarking scheme, in this paper, we propose a novel zero-watermarking algorithm with the integer wavelet transform (IWT), Schur decomposition and image block energy. Specifically, we first use IWT to extract low-frequency information and divide them into non-overlapping blocks,… More >
