    Effect of Homogenization Rates on the Properties and Stability of Fish Gelatin Films with Cinnamon Essential Oil

    Abstract Fish gelatin films have emerged as eco-friendly packaging materials due to their biodegradability and excellent film-forming properties. This study investigated the effects of varying homogenization rates (0, 6500, 9500, 13,500, 17,500, and 21,500 rpm) on the functional and structural properties of fish gelatin films enriched with cinnamon essential oil (CEO). Homogenization reduced droplet sizes and narrowed droplet size distributions in the film-forming emulsion (FFE). At a homogenization rate of 9500 rpm, the films exhibited excellent mechanical extensibility, reduced surface irregularities, and enhanced smoothness.     Abstract The extensive use of polymeric materials in single-use packaging has driven the need to develop biodegradable alternatives. This study investigates the incorporation of graphene oxide (GO) and Moringa oleifera seed oil (MOSO) into a gelatin matrix to create polymer films and evaluate their potential as active packaging materials.     Abstract Fire retardant CNTs/WPP/Gel composite papers were fabricated by incorporating bio-based carbon nanotubes (CNTs) recycled from mature beech pinewood sawdust (MB) and cellulosic waste printed paper (WPP) into a gelatin solution (Gel) and allowing the mixture to dry at room temperature. The CNTs within the WPP matrix formed a network, enhancing the mechanical and thermal properties of the resulting CNTs paper sheet.     Abstract The main goal of the article is the creation and study of thermosensitive and wound-healing gelatin-alginate biopolymer hydrogels modified with humic acids. Their rheological properties, swelling and contraction behavior were experimentally investigated, elucidated using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and used to achieve the physiological melting point, which is necessary for successful drug delivery.     Abstract Maillard reaction is a non-enzymatic browning reaction and its products (MRPs) have been proven to possess antioxidant properties. This research aimed to produce a fish gelatin-based packaging incorporated with MRPs to retard lipid oxidation in chicken skin oil (CSO) during storage at ambient temperature (28°C–30°C). MRPs produced from fish gelatin and fructose (1:1, 90°C, pH 11) showed the highest antioxidant properties compared to those prepared under other conditions.
