Abstract Nanche (Byrsonima crassifolia (L.) H.B.K.) grows in the southeastern region of the Mexican republic under both wild and semi-cultivated forms. Despite the importance of the fruit of this tree, only one paper at the molecular level has been published in Mexico, and possibly in America, to date. For this reason, the purpose of this research was to study the genetic variability of nanche trees that grow under both wild and semi-cultivated conditions in the state of Tabasco, Mexico.
