Abstract Nanche (Byrsonima crassifolia (L.) H.B.K.) grows in the southeastern region of the Mexican republic under both wild and semi-cultivated forms. Despite the importance of the fruit of this tree, only one paper at the molecular level has been published in Mexico, and possibly in America, to date.
