PSAP-WSN: A Provably Secure Authentication Protocol for 5G-Based Wireless Sensor Networks

    Xuanang Li1, Shuangshuang Liu1, Saru Kumari2, Chien-Ming Chen1,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.135, No.1, pp. 711-732, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.022667

Abstract Nowadays, the widespread application of 5G has promoted rapid development in different areas, particularly in the Internet of Things (IoT), where 5G provides the advantages of higher data transfer rate, lower latency, and widespread connections. Wireless sensor networks (WSNs), which comprise various sensors, are crucial components of IoT. The main functions of WSN include providing users with real-time monitoring information, deploying regional information collection, and synchronizing with the Internet. Security in WSNs is becoming increasingly essential because of the across-the-board nature of wireless technology in many fields. Recently, Yu et al. proposed a user authentication protocol for WSN. However, their design is vulnerable… More >

RPSAP52 lncRNA Inhibits p21Waf1/CIP Expression by Interacting With the RNA Binding Protein HuR

Daniela D’Angelo*, Claudio Arra, Alfredo Fusco*

    Oncology Research, Vol.28, No.2, pp. 191-201, 2020, DOI:10.3727/096504019X15761465603129

Abstract Long noncoding RNAs have been recently demonstrated to have an important role in fundamental biological processes, and their deregulated expression has been found in several human neoplasias. Our group has recently reported a drastic overexpression of the long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) RPSAP52 (ribosomal protein SA pseudogene 52) in pituitary adenomas. We have shown that this lncRNA increased cell proliferation by upregulating the expression of the chromatinic proteins HMGA1 and HMGA2, functioning as a competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) through competitively binding to microRNA-15a (miR-15a), miR-15b, and miR-16. The aim of this work was to identify further mechanisms by which RPSAP52 overexpression… More >

    BIOCELL, Vol.45, No.4, pp. 963-970, 2021, DOI:10.32604/biocell.2021.015297

Abstract Amyotrophic lateral syndrome (ALS) is a progressive degenerative disorder characterized by motor neuron death and axon degeneration. Mitochondrial dysfunction plays a key role in the pathogenesis of ALS, the mechanism of which remains poorly understood. The B-cell lymphoma-2 (Bcl-2) family of proteins that control and mediate mitochondrial function and apoptosis, including the pro-apoptotic members Bcl2-Associated X (Bax), are involved in ALS development. The death receptor 6 (DR6) regulates motor neuron death in ALS, and DR6 antibodies can prevent axon degeneration and motor neuron damage by blocking DR6. Previous studies demonstrated that PSAP localized to mitochondria and was required for DR6-induced… More >

An Intuitive Preprocessor Development for the Finite Element Analysis System, DIAMOND/IPSAP

Jong Keun Moon1, Jong Bum Kim, Sang Min Kim, Kuk Jin Park Chae Kyu Jang, Seung Jo Kim2

The International Conference on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences, Vol.12, No.2, pp. 49-51, 2009, DOI:10.3970/icces.2009.012.049

Abstract As a finite element structural analysis tool, IPSAP has been developed over a decade ago by ASTL(Aerospace STructures Laboratory in Seoul National University) since early 1990's. IPSAP means 'Internet Parallel Structural Analysis Program' and is able to solve linear static analysis, thermal conduction analysis, and vibration analysis of various types of general complex structures.
By using Parallel Multi-Frontal solver, IPSAP shows efficient, powerful performance and accuracy in serial and parallel computing system and has been released by website(http://ipsap.snu.ac.kr) since 2004. But initial version of IPSAP did not support GUI(Graphic User Interface). To get over this inconvenience of IPSAP, the pre/post… More >
