Champs et objets pour mieux représenter les phénomènes dans leur contexte géographique

Anne Ruas, Ha Pham, Laura Pinson

    Revue Internationale de Géomatique, Vol.29, No.2, pp. 185-205, 2019, DOI:10.3166/rig.2019.00081

Abstract Many studies and research aim at better knowing phenomena such as pollution or climate. The fields of value representing these phenomena can be visualized on scientific visualization tools which do not have the richness of symbolization specific to the GIS, in particular for the georeferencing and for the representation of the vector objects describing the geographical context. The representation in raster on GIS is possible but limited. However, at the scientific level, it is important to be able to co-visualize the fields describing phenomena in their geographical context to better analyze them and make assumptions about the interactions between a… More >

    Revue Internationale de Géomatique, Vol.29, No.3, pp. 317-338, 2019, DOI:10.3166/rig.2019.00087

Abstract The Sfax phreatic system is an important source of water supply. The latter is constantly threatened by nitric pollution. In order to protect this aquifer, a study of the intrinsic vulnerability has been carried out using the SI (Susceptibility Index) method. The model takes into consideration the various vulnerability criteria governing the process of contaminant transfer. These are geological, hydrogeological, land use, topography, and meteorological factors. In this study, a method derived from the SI model is presented (modified SI). The model is based on an approach that integrates hydrological modeling under Agriflux and GIS. Indeed, the use of GIS… More >

    Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany, Vol.92, No.2, pp. 471-485, 2023, DOI:10.32604/phyton.2022.023660

Abstract Heavy metal-polluted soil was collected from the Pulang copper mine in Shangri-La City, Yunnan Province, Southwest China. The effects of fertilizer (organic and inorganic) and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) on ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum L.) growth, root morphology, mineral nutrition and cadmium (Cd) and lead (Pb) contents were investigated by pot experiments. The results showed that both fertilizer and AMF significantly ameliorated the root morphology and mineral nutrition, reduced the Cd and Pb contents, and promoted the growth of ryegrass. Among all treatments, the combined application of organic–inorganic compound fertilizer with AMF had the highest effect, resulting in increases in root… More >

    Energy Engineering, Vol.119, No.5, pp. 1985-2003, 2022, DOI:10.32604/ee.2022.021142

Abstract Electric vehicles (EVs) have received special consideration from modern society over the past several years. Although EVs are a fine example of environmentally friendly technology and have many advantages, they relatively increase the electricity demand upon a power grid as well. Therefore, their negative impact on busvoltage and line losses should be analyzed. In this study, the effect of EV loads and their penetration on bus voltage and line losses of an IEEE-33 bussystem has been examined via two scenarios. It is important to mention that the effect of EVs on the rate of air pollution, produced by fossil fuel… More >
