Optimizing Resource Allocation Framework for Multi-Cloud Environment

    Tahir Alyas1, Taher M. Ghazal2,3, Badria Sulaiman Alfurhood4, Ghassan F. Issa2, Osama Ali Thawabeh5, Qaiser Abbas6,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.75, No.2, pp. 4119-4136, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.033916

Abstract Cloud computing makes dynamic resource provisioning more accessible. Monitoring a functioning service is crucial, and changes are made when particular criteria are surpassed. This research explores the decentralized multi-cloud environment for allocating resources and ensuring the Quality of Service (QoS), estimating the required resources, and modifying allotted resources depending on workload and parallelism due to resources. Resource allocation is a complex challenge due to the versatile service providers and resource providers. The engagement of different service and resource providers needs a cooperation strategy for a sustainable quality of service. The objective of a coherent and rational resource allocation is to… More >

Vertical Pod Autoscaling in Kubernetes for Elastic Container Collaborative Framework

    Mushtaq Niazi1, Sagheer Abbas1, Abdel-Hamid Soliman2, Tahir Alyas3, Shazia Asif4, Tauqeer Faiz5,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.74, No.1, pp. 591-606, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.032474

Abstract Kubernetes is an open-source container management tool which automates container deployment, container load balancing and container(de)scaling, including Horizontal Pod Autoscaler (HPA), Vertical Pod Autoscaler (VPA). HPA enables flawless operation, interactively scaling the number of resource units, or pods, without downtime. Default Resource Metrics, such as CPU and memory use of host machines and pods, are monitored by Kubernetes. Cloud Computing has emerged as a platform for individuals beside the corporate sector. It provides cost-effective infrastructure, platform and software services in a shared environment. On the other hand, the emergence of industry 4.0 brought new challenges for the adaptability and infusion… More >

Query Optimization Framework for Graph Database in Cloud Dew Environment

    Tahir Alyas1, Ali Alzahrani2, Yazed Alsaawy2, Khalid Alissa3, Qaiser Abbas2, Nadia Tabassum4,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.74, No.1, pp. 2317-2330, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.032454

Abstract The query optimizer uses cost-based optimization to create an execution plan with the least cost, which also consumes the least amount of resources. The challenge of query optimization for relational database systems is a combinatorial optimization problem, which renders exhaustive search impossible as query sizes rise. Increases in CPU performance have surpassed main memory, and disk access speeds in recent decades, allowing data compression to be used—strategies for improving database performance systems. For performance enhancement, compression and query optimization are the two most factors. Compression reduces the volume of data, whereas query optimization minimizes execution time. Compressing the database reduces… More >

Research on Welding Quality Traceability Model of Offshore Platform Block Construction Process

    Jinghua Li1,2, Wenhao Yin2, Boxin Yang1,*, Qinghua Zhou1,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.134, No.1, pp. 699-730, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.020811

Abstract Quality traceability plays an essential role in assembling and welding offshore platform blocks. The improvement of the welding quality traceability system is conducive to improving the durability of the offshore platform and the process level of the offshore industry. Currently, quality management remains in the era of primary information, and there is a lack of effective tracking and recording of welding quality data. When welding defects are encountered, it is difficult to rapidly and accurately determine the root cause of the problem from various complexities and scattered quality data. In this paper, a composite welding quality traceability model for offshore… More >

DNS Service Model Based on Permissioned Blockchain

    Yantao Shen1,*, Yang Lu2, Zhili Wang1, Xin Xv3, Feng Qi1, Ningzhe Xing4, Ziyu Zhao5

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.27, No.1, pp. 259-268, 2021, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2021.013704

Abstract With the continuous development of the Internet, the domain name system (DNS) as infrastructure is playing an increasingly important role. However, traditional DNS architecture is centralized, and there are some security problems such as the right concentration and power abuse. This paper combines blockchain technology with DNS technology and proposes a domain name service model based on the permissioned blockchain. At first, this paper designs a top-level domain chain (TLDChain) model to conduct consensus on block transactions and achieve decentralization of domain name service. Then, this paper introduces a data model to upload data. At the same time, to improve… More >

An Improved Distributed Query for Large-Scale RDF Data

    Aoran Li1, Xinmeng Wang1, Xueliang Wang4, Bohan Li1,2,3,*

    Journal on Big Data, Vol.2, No.4, pp. 157-166, 2020, DOI:10.32604/jbd.2020.010358

Abstract The rigid structure of the traditional relational database leads to data redundancy, which seriously affects the efficiency of the data query and cannot effectively manage massive data. To solve this problem, we use distributed storage and parallel computing technology to query RDF data. In order to achieve efficient storage and retrieval of large-scale RDF data, we combine the respective advantage of the storage model of the relational database and the distributed query. To overcome the disadvantages of storing and querying RDF data, we design and implement a breadth-first path search algorithm based on the keyword query on a distributed platform.… More >

The Data Classification Query Optimization Method for English Online Examination System Based on Grid Image Analysis

    Kun Liu*

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.26, No.4, pp. 749-754, 2020, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2020.010109

Abstract In the English network examination system, the big data distribution is highly coupled, the cost of data query is large, and the precision is not good. In order to improve the ability of the data classification and query in the English network examination system, a method of data classification and query in the English network examination system is proposed based on the grid region clustering and frequent itemset feature extraction of the association rules. Using the grid image analysis to improve the statistical analysis of the English performance analysis, the collection and storage structure analysis of the information resource data… More >
