Coverless Image Steganography Based on Jigsaw Puzzle Image Generation

    Al Hussien Seddik Saad1,*, M. S. Mohamed2,3, E. H. Hafez4

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.67, No.2, pp. 2077-2091, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.015329

Abstract Current image steganography methods are working by assigning an image as a cover file then embed the payload within it by modifying its pixels, creating the stego image. However, the left traces that are caused by these modifications will make steganalysis algorithms easily detect the hidden payload. A coverless data hiding concept is proposed to solve this issue. Coverless does not mean that cover is not required, or the payload can be transmitted without a cover. Instead, the payload is embedded by cover generation or a secret message mapping between the cover file and the payload. In this paper, a… More >

Assessment of Noise Exposure of Sawmill Workers in Southwest, Nigeria

    Abiola O. Ajayeoba1,*, Adewoye A. Olanipekun2, Wasiu A. Raheem3, Oluwaseun O. Ojo4, Ayowumi R. Soji–Adekunle4

    Sound & Vibration, Vol.55, No.1, pp. 69-85, 2021, DOI:10.32604/sv.2021.011639

Abstract Economic wood processing employs the use of industrial machines for cutting, shaping, milling, and sawing timber, thereby leading to the generation of high levels of noise. Published data from empirical studies have categorized noise as an environmental hazard of global significance. Furthermore, noise exposure limits for different industries and all the industrial machines available has not been formally established as it presently exists in developed nations around the world. Therefore, this study assessed the daily exposure of sawmills workers to noise in Southwestern Nigeria. Reconnaissance surveys were first carried out in Osun, Oyo, Ondo, Ekiti, Lagos, and Ogun States to… More >

Sawdust Short Fiber Reinforced Epoxidized Natural Rubber: Insight on Its Mechanical, Physical, and Thermal Aspects

    O. S. Dahham1, N. Z. Noriman1,2,*, H. Jaya1, R. Hamzah1, M. U. Umar2,3, I. Johari4

    Journal of Renewable Materials, Vol.8, No.12, pp. 1633-1645, 2020, DOI:10.32604/jrm.2020.011377

Abstract In this work, Epoxidized natural rubber/sawdust short fiber (ENR-50/ SD) composites at different fiber content (5, 10, 15 and 20 phr) and size (fine size at 60–100 μm and coarse size at 10–20 mm) were prepared using two-roll mill and electrical-hydraulic hot press machine respectively. Curing characteristics, water uptake, tensile, morphological, physical, and thermal properties of the composites were investigated. Results indicated that the scorch time and cure time became shorter whereas torque improved as SD content increase. Though the decline of tensile strength and elongation at break values, modulus, hardness and crosslinking density have shown enhancements with the increasing… More >

Preparation and Optimization of High-Purity Silicon Carbide Magnetic Abrasives for the Magnetic Induction-Wire Sawing Process

    Wei Zhang1,*, Tengwei Qiu1, Chunyan Yao2

    FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Vol.16, No.4, pp. 709-721, 2020, DOI:10.32604/fdmp.2020.010748

Abstract In this study, magnetic abrasives were obtained by crushing and sieving sintered iron-silicon carbide (Fe-SiC) composites. Fe and SiC powders with different mesh numbers were pre-compacted using different pressures and then sintered at various temperatures and with different holding times. The dispersion uniformity of the SiC powder was improved through surface modification using polyethylene glycol (PEG) 300. The resulting magnetic abrasives were characterized in terms of phase composition, density, relative permeability, and microstructure; this was followed by a comprehensive analysis to reveal the optimal processing parameters. The ideal combination of process parameters for preparing SiC magnetic-abrasive grains for the magnetic… More >

Discrete Simulation of Particle Separation in Microfluid due to SSAW

Wenjing Yang*, Peijin Liu, Qiang Li, Guoqiang He

The International Conference on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences, Vol.22, No.1, pp. 100-100, 2019, DOI:10.32604/icces.2019.05495

Abstract Particle manipulation due to SSAW has been spread widely in many lab-on-a-ship applications such as flow cytometry, single molecular detection, protein folding, cell sorting and enzymatic kinetics. For microflow, particle separation can be quite difficult, since the laminar nature of microfluidic flow predominantly determines the particle motion following the fixed streamlines. Thus the lateral forces are necessary to change the original path of particles, involving hydrodynamic force, electro-kinetic force, dielectrophoresis force and acoustic force. To date, the standing surface acoustic wave (SSAW) shows the unique abilities in separating particles in micro-channel. Based on particle size, density and shape, with proper… More >
