Abstract Background: Minor bleeding after prostate biopsy is a relatively common complication, but clinically significant hemorrhage happens rarely. Management of prostatic artery pseudoaneurysm has not been described in the literature. Case Description: In this case, an 84-year-old man presented after prostate biopsy with rectal bleeding and required a massive transfusion. Ultimately, he was found to have a prostatic artery pseudoaneurysm, which to our knowledge is heretofore undescribed after prostate biopsy. Abstract Optimizing drip irrigation with straw mulch return represents a promising sustainable intensification strategy for revolutionizing regional water management. This 2-year controlled field experiment examined straw incorporation effects (removal and return) and drip irrigation levels (200, 350, 500 mm) on maize carbon-nitrogen metabolism, root bleeding sap characteristics, dry matter accumulation, and yield. Dry matter and yield increased with irrigation amount. Under 200–350 mm irrigation, straw return enhanced root bleeding intensity; elevated nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, and magnesium concentrations in bleeding sap; and promoted soluble sugar and hydrolyzed amino acid contents, establishing material foundations for yield formation. Abstract Introduction: Studies have reached mixed conclusions on the role of antiplatelet and anticoagulant agents on postoperative complications of partial nephrectomies. This study examines whether preoperative anticoagulation use affected the risk of hemorrhagic complications after partial nephrectomy.

Abstract In this study, the workability of cement-based grouts containing n-TiO₂ nanoparticles and fly ash has been investigated experimentally. Several characteristic quantities (including, but not limited to, the marsh cone flow time, the mini slump spreading diameter and the plate cohesion meter value) have been measured for different percentages of these additives. The use of fly ash as a mineral additive has been found to result in improvements in terms of workability behavior as expected. Abstract Introduction: To determine if focal bladder neck cautery is effective in reducing bleeding following prostate tissue resection for benign prostatic hyperplasia using Aquablation.
Materials and methods: Consecutive patients from 11 countries in Asia, Europe, and North America who underwent Aquablation for symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia between late 2019 and January 2021 were included in the analysis.
