RETRACTED: A Hybrid Nonlinear Active Noise Control Method Using Chebyshev Nonlinear Filter

    Bin Chen1, *, Shuyue Yu1, Yan Gao2

    Sound & Vibration, Vol.52, No.4, pp. 21-27, 2018, DOI:10.32604/sv.2018.03974

Abstract Investigations into active noise control (ANC) technique have been conducted with the aim of effective control of the low-frequency noise. In practice, however, the performance of currently available ANC systems degrades due to the effects of nonlinearity in the primary and secondary paths, primary noise and louder speaker. This paper proposes a hybrid control structure of nonlinear ANC system to control the non-stationary noise produced by the rotating machinery on the nonlinear primary path. A fast version of ensemble empirical mode decomposition is used to decompose the non-stationary primary noise into intrinsic mode functions, which are expanded using the second-order… More >

Analyzing Dynamic Change in Social Network Based on Distribution-Free Multivariate Process Control Method

    Yan Liu1,*, Lian Liu1, Yu Yan2, Hao Feng1, Shichang Ding3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.60, No.3, pp. 1123-1139, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.05619

Abstract Social organizations can be represented by social network because it can mathematically quantify and represent complex interrelated organizational behavior. Exploring the change in dynamic social network is essential for the situation awareness of the corresponding social organization. Social network usually evolves gradually and slightly, which is hard to be noticed. The statistical process control techniques in industry field have been used to distinguish the statistically significant change of social network. But the original method is narrowed due to some limitation on measures. This paper presents a generic framework to address the change detection problem in dynamic social network and introduces… More >

A Sliding Mode Control Algorithm for Solving an Ill-posed Positive Linear System

    Chein-Shan Liu1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.39, No.2, pp. 153-178, 2014, DOI:10.3970/cmc.2014.039.153

Abstract For the numerical solution of an ill-posed positive linear system we combine the methods from invariant manifold theory and sliding mode control theory, developing an affine nonlinear dynamical system with a positive control force and with the residual vector as being a gain vector. This system is proven asymptotically stable to the zero residual vector by using an argument from the Lyapunov stability theory. We find that the system fast tends to the sliding surface and then moves with a sliding mode, such that the resultant sliding mode control algorithm (SMCA) is robust against large noise and stable to find… More >
