A Secured Message Transmission Protocol for Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks

    A. F. M. Suaib Akhter1,*, A. F. M. Shahen Shah2, Mohiuddin Ahmed3, Nour Moustafa4, Unal Çavuşoğlu1, Ahmet Zengin1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.68, No.1, pp. 229-246, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.015447

Abstract Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANETs) become a very crucial addition in the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). It is challenging for a VANET system to provide security services and parallelly maintain high throughput by utilizing limited resources. To overcome these challenges, we propose a blockchain-based Secured Cluster-based MAC (SCB-MAC) protocol. The nearby vehicles heading towards the same direction will form a cluster and each of the clusters has its blockchain to store and distribute the safety messages. The message which contains emergency information and requires Strict Delay Requirement (SDR) for transmission are called safety messages (SM). Cluster Members (CMs) sign SMs… More >

A Data Security Framework for Cloud Computing Services

    Luis-Eduardo Bautista-Villalpando1,*, Alain Abran2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.37, No.2, pp. 203-218, 2021, DOI:10.32604/csse.2021.015437

Abstract Cyberattacks are difficult to prevent because the targeted companies and organizations are often relying on new and fundamentally insecure cloud-based technologies, such as the Internet of Things. With increasing industry adoption and migration of traditional computing services to the cloud, one of the main challenges in cybersecurity is to provide mechanisms to secure these technologies. This work proposes a Data Security Framework for cloud computing services (CCS) that evaluates and improves CCS data security from a software engineering perspective by evaluating the levels of security within the cloud computing paradigm using engineering methods and techniques applied to CCS. This framework… More >

Data Security Storage Model of the Internet of Things Based on Blockchain

    Pingshui Wang1,2,*, Willy Susilo2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.36, No.1, pp. 213-224, 2021, DOI:10.32604/csse.2021.014541

Abstract With the development of information technology, the Internet of Things (IoT) has gradually become the third wave of the worldwide information industry revolution after the computer and the Internet. The application of the IoT has brought great convenience to people’s production and life. However, the potential information security problems in various IoT applications are gradually exposed and people pay more attention to them. The traditional centralized data storage and management model of the IoT is easy to cause transmission delay, single point of failure, privacy disclosure and other problems, and eventually leads to unpredictable behavior of the system. Blockchain technology… More >

Personal Data Security and Supervision in the Age of Large Data

    DU Zhen-Yuan

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.25, No.4, pp. 847-853, 2019, DOI:10.31209/2019.100000088

Abstract Big data’s fast growth and development has triggered the attention of academic circles. Most of the studies are focusing on the concept of personal data, the definition of data rights, etc. In China, the current status of laws protecting personal data is still scarce and incomplete, relying on specific regulations that are lacking an overall architecture, which has not been efficient in the age of rapid development and application of big data. In the western countries with relatively mature personal data supervision system, the supervision principle is centered on the data subject, and it is difficult to adapt to the… More >

Data Security Defense and Algorithm for Edge Computing Based on Mean Field Game

    Chengshan Qian1,2, Xue Li1,*, Ning Sun2, Yuqing Tian1

    Journal of Cyber Security, Vol.2, No.2, pp. 97-106, 2020, DOI:10.32604/jcs.2020.010548

Abstract With the development of the Internet of Things, the edge devices are increasing. Cyber security issues in edge computing have also emerged and caused great concern. We propose a defense strategy based on Mean field game to solve the security issues of edge user data during edge computing. Firstly, an individual cost function is formulated to build an edge user data security defense model. Secondly, we research the More >

On the Privacy-Preserving Outsourcing Scheme of Reversible Data Hiding over Encrypted Image Data in Cloud Computing

    Lizhi Xiong1,*, Yunqing Shi2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.55, No.3, pp. 523-539, 2018, DOI: 10.3970/cmc.2018.01791

Abstract Advanced cloud computing technology provides cost saving and flexibility of services for users. With the explosion of multimedia data, more and more data owners would outsource their personal multimedia data on the cloud. In the meantime, some computationally expensive tasks are also undertaken by cloud servers. However, the outsourced multimedia data and its applications may reveal the data owner’s private information because the data owners lose the control of their data. Recently, this thought has aroused new research interest on privacy-preserving reversible data hiding over outsourced multimedia data. In this paper, two reversible data hiding schemes are proposed for encrypted… More >
