Research on Dynamic Scheduling Method for Hybrid Flow Shop Order Disturbance Based on IMOGWO Algorithm

Feng Lv*, Huili Chu, Cheng Yang, Jiajie Zhang

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.86, No.3, 2026, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2025.072915 - 12 January 2026

Abstract To address the issue that hybrid flow shop production struggles to handle order disturbance events, a dynamic scheduling model was constructed. The model takes minimizing the maximum makespan, delivery time deviation, and scheme deviation degree as the optimization objectives. An adaptive dynamic scheduling strategy based on the degree of order disturbance is proposed. An improved multi-objective Grey Wolf (IMOGWO) optimization algorithm is designed by combining the “job-machine” two-layer encoding strategy, the timing-driven two-stage decoding strategy, the opposition-based learning initialization population strategy, the POX crossover strategy, the dual-operation dynamic mutation strategy, and the variable neighborhood search… More >

An Advanced Dynamic Scheduling for Achieving Optimal Resource Allocation

    R. Prabhu1,*, S. Rajesh2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.44, No.1, pp. 281-295, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.024339 - 01 June 2022

Abstract Cloud computing distributes task-parallel among the various resources. Applications with self-service supported and on-demand service have rapid growth. For these applications, cloud computing allocates the resources dynamically via the internet according to user requirements. Proper resource allocation is vital for fulfilling user requirements. In contrast, improper resource allocations result to load imbalance, which leads to severe service issues. The cloud resources implement internet-connected devices using the protocols for storing, communicating, and computations. The extensive needs and lack of optimal resource allocating scheme make cloud computing more complex. This paper proposes an NMDS (Network Manager based… More >

Scheduling Multi-Mode Resource-Constrained Projects Using Heuristic Rules Under Uncertainty Environment

    Mohamed Abdel-Basset1, Ahmed Sleem1, Asmaa Atef1, Yunyoung Nam2,*, Mohamed Abouhawwash3,4

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.70, No.1, pp. 847-874, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.017106 - 07 September 2021

Abstract Project scheduling is a key objective of many models and is the proposed method for project planning and management. Project scheduling problems depend on precedence relationships and resource constraints, in addition to some other limitations for achieving a subset of goals. Project scheduling problems are dependent on many limitations, including limitations of precedence relationships, resource constraints, and some other limitations for achieving a subset of goals. Deterministic project scheduling models consider all information about the scheduling problem such as activity durations and precedence relationships information resources available and required, which are known and stable during… More >
