A Secure Encrypted Classified Electronic Healthcare Data for Public Cloud Environment

Kirupa Shankar Komathi Maathavan1,*, Santhi Venkatraman2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.32, No.2, pp. 765-779, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.022276

Abstract The major operation of the blood bank supply chain is to estimate the demand, perform inventory management and distribute adequate blood for the needs. The proliferation of big data in the blood bank supply chain and data management needs an intelligent, automated system to classify the essential data so that the requests can be handled easily with less human intervention. Big data in the blood bank domain refers to the collection, organization, and analysis of large volumes of data to obtain useful information. For this purpose, in this research work we have employed machine learning techniques to find a better… More >

Applying Apache Spark on Streaming Big Data for Health Status Prediction

    Ahmed Ismail Ebada1, Ibrahim Elhenawy2, Chang-Won Jeong3, Yunyoung Nam4,*, Hazem Elbakry1, Samir Abdelrazek1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.70, No.2, pp. 3511-3527, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.019458

Abstract Big data applications in healthcare have provided a variety of solutions to reduce costs, errors, and waste. This work aims to develop a real-time system based on big medical data processing in the cloud for the prediction of health issues. In the proposed scalable system, medical parameters are sent to Apache Spark to extract attributes from data and apply the proposed machine learning algorithm. In this way, healthcare risks can be predicted and sent as alerts and recommendations to users and healthcare providers. The proposed work also aims to provide an effective recommendation system by using streaming medical data, historical… More >

Design and Experimentation of Causal Relationship Discovery among Features of Healthcare Datasets

    Y. Sreeraman*, S. Lakshmana Pandian

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.29, No.2, pp. 539-557, 2021, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2021.017256

Abstract Causal relationships in a data play vital role in decision making. Identification of causal association in data is one of the important areas of research in data analytics. Simple correlations between data variables reveal the degree of linear relationship. Partial correlation explains the association between two variables within the control of other related variables. Partial association test explains the causality in data. In this paper a couple of causal relationship discovery strategies are proposed using the design of partial association tree that makes use of partial association test among variables. These decision trees are different from normal decision trees in… More >

    G. Kadiravan1, P. Sujatha1, T. Asvany1, R. Punithavathi2, Mohamed Elhoseny3, Irina V. Pustokhina4, Denis A. Pustokhin5, K. Shankar6,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.66, No.3, pp. 3215-3231, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.013034

Abstract Nowadays, healthcare applications necessitate maximum volume of medical data to be fed to help the physicians, academicians, pathologists, doctors and other healthcare professionals. Advancements in the domain of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) and Multimedia Wireless Sensor Networks (MWSN) are tremendous. M-WMSN is an advanced form of conventional Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) to networks that use multimedia devices. When compared with traditional WSN, the quantity of data transmission in M-WMSN is significantly high due to the presence of multimedia content. Hence, clustering techniques are deployed to achieve low amount of energy utilization. The current research work aims at introducing a new… More >

Deep Learning Based Optimal Multimodal Fusion Framework for Intrusion Detection Systems for Healthcare Data

    Phong Thanh Nguyen1, Vy Dang Bich Huynh2, Khoa Dang Vo1, Phuong Thanh Phan1, Mohamed Elhoseny3, Dac-Nhuong Le4,5,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.66, No.3, pp. 2555-2571, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.012941

Abstract Data fusion is a multidisciplinary research area that involves different domains. It is used to attain minimum detection error probability and maximum reliability with the help of data retrieved from multiple healthcare sources. The generation of huge quantity of data from medical devices resulted in the formation of big data during which data fusion techniques become essential. Securing medical data is a crucial issue of exponentially-pacing computing world and can be achieved by Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS). In this regard, since singular-modality is not adequate to attain high detection rate, there is a need exists to merge diverse techniques using… More >
