    Abstract This manuscript presents the projectile impact behavior of hybrid jute/epoxy composite laminates using an instrumented air gun impact setup with the projectile moving in the vertical direction. An approach based on the stiffness change is used to predict the projectile impact response of hybrid jute epoxy-filled laminates impacted with a stainless-steel projectile.     Abstract Micro- and nano-scale collisions are widely involved in molecular movement, drug delivery, the actuation of micro-nano devices, etc. They often exhibit extraordinary behaviour relative to the common macroscopic collisions. A deep understanding on the scale reduction-induced novel collision phenomenon and the related mechanism is rather crucial. In this work, the comprehensive impact behaviour of metal projectiles on graphene is investigated on the basis of molecular dynamics simulations.     Abstract Behaviour of layered steel fibre reinforced cementitious composite (SFRCC) panels is studied under high velocity impact of short projectiles. The panels consist of slurry infiltrated fibre concrete (SIFCON) layers in external faces and an intermediate (core) layer of latex modified concrete (LMC) and steel wire mesh embedded in cement sand slurry. In order to minimize acoustic impedance mismatch at the interfaces, judiciously selected materials are provided in the layers with appropriate lay-up sequences.
