Robust and Trustworthy Data Sharing Framework Leveraging On-Chain and Off-Chain Collaboration

    Jinyang Yu1,2, Xiao Zhang1,2,3,*, Jinjiang Wang1,2, Yuchen Zhang1,2, Yulong Shi1,2, Linxuan Su1,2, Leijie Zeng1,2,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.78, No.2, pp. 2159-2179, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2024.047340

Abstract The proliferation of Internet of Things (IoT) systems has resulted in the generation of substantial data, presenting new challenges in reliable storage and trustworthy sharing. Conventional distributed storage systems are hindered by centralized management and lack traceability, while blockchain systems are limited by low capacity and high latency. To address these challenges, the present study investigates the reliable storage and trustworthy sharing of IoT data, and presents a novel system architecture that integrates on-chain and off-chain data manage systems. This architecture, integrating blockchain and distributed storage technologies, provides high-capacity, high-performance, traceable, and verifiable data storage and access. The on-chain system,… More >

Research and Implementation of Credit Investigation Sharing Platform Based on Double Blockchain

    Yanyan Han1,2, Wanqi Wei2,*, Kaili Dou3, Peng Li2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.75, No.3, pp. 5193-5211, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.037756

Abstract As the development of the modern economy is increasingly inseparable from credit support, the traditional credit investigation mode has yet to meet this demand. Because of the difficulties in conventional credit data sharing among credit investigation agencies, poor data portability, and centralized supervision, this paper proposes a data-sharing scheme for credit investigation agencies based on a double blockchain. Given the problems such as difficult data sharing, difficult recovery of damaged data, and accessible data leakage between institutions and users with non-traditional credit investigation data other than credit, this paper proposes a data-sharing scheme for credit investigation subjects based on the… More >

Scalable Blockchain Technology for Tracking the Provenance of the Agri-Food

    B. Subashini*, D. Hemavathi

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.75, No.2, pp. 3339-3358, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.035074

Abstract Due to an increase in agricultural mislabeling and carelesshandling of non-perishable foods in recent years, consumers have been calling for the food sector to be more transparent. Due to information dispersion between divisions and the propensity to record inaccurate data, current traceability solutions typically fail to provide reliable farm-to-fork histories ofproducts. The three most enticing characteristics of blockchain technology areopenness, integrity, and traceability, which make it a potentially crucial tool for guaranteeing the integrity and correctness of data. In this paper, we suggest a permissioned blockchain system run by organizations, such as regulatory bodies, to promote the origin-tracking of shelf-stable… More >

Cooperative Detection Method for DDoS Attacks Based on Blockchain

    Jieren Cheng1,2, Xinzhi Yao1,2,*, Hui Li3, Hao Lu4, Naixue Xiong5, Ping Luo1,2, Le Liu1,2, Hao Guo1,2, Wen Feng1,2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.43, No.1, pp. 103-117, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.025668

Abstract Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks is always one of the major problems for service providers. Using blockchain to detect DDoS attacks is one of the current popular methods. However, the problems of high time overhead and cost exist in the most of the blockchain methods for detecting DDoS attacks. This paper proposes a blockchain-based collaborative detection method for DDoS attacks. First, the trained DDoS attack detection model is encrypted by the Intel Software Guard Extensions (SGX), which provides high security for uploading the DDoS attack detection model to the blockchain. Secondly, the service provider uploads the encrypted model to… More >

A Image Copyright Protection Method Using Zero-Watermark by Blockchain and IPFS

    Tao Chen1, Zhao Qiu1,*, Gengquan Xie1, Lin Yuan1, Shaohua Duan1, Hao Guo1, Dahao Fu1, Hancheng Huang2

Journal of Information Hiding and Privacy Protection, Vol.3, No.3, pp. 131-142, 2021, DOI:10.32604/jihpp.2021.026606

Abstract Behind the popularity of multimedia technology, the dispute over image copyright is getting worse. In the digital watermark prevention technology for copyright infringement, watermark technology is considered to be an important technology to overcome data protection problems and verify the relationship between data ownership. Among the many digital watermarking technologies, zero watermarking technology has been favored in recent years. However, the existing zero watermark technology in the implementation process often needs a trusted third party to store watermarks, which may make the data too central, data storage security is low and copyright registration costs are too high, which creates a… More >

FileWallet: A File Management System Based on IPFS and Hyperledger Fabric

Jienan Chen, Chuang Zhang, Yu Yan, Yuan Liu*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.130, No.2, pp. 949-966, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.017516

Abstract Online file management systems enable cooperatively editing and sharing. However, due to the cost of communication and storage infrastructures, traditional online file management services, e.g., Google Drive and OneDrive, usually provide limited storage space and relatively low download speed for free users. To achieve better performance, ordinary users have to purchase their expensive services. Moreover, these file management systems are based on centralized architecture and bear the privacy leakage risk, because users’ personal files are stored and controlled by their servers. To address the above problems, we propose a peer-to-peer (P2P) file management system based on IPFS and Hyperledger Fabric,… More >
