Design Optimization of Permanent Magnet Eddy Current Coupler Based on an Intelligence Algorithm

Dazhi Wang*, Pengyi Pan, Bowen Niu

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.77, No.2, pp. 1535-1555, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.042286

Abstract The permanent magnet eddy current coupler (PMEC) solves the problem of flexible connection and speed regulation between the motor and the load and is widely used in electrical transmission systems. It provides torque to the load and generates heat and losses, reducing its energy transfer efficiency. This issue has become an obstacle for PMEC to develop toward a higher power. This paper aims to improve the overall performance of PMEC through multi-objective optimization methods. Firstly, a PMEC modeling method based on the Levenberg-Marquardt back propagation (LMBP) neural network is proposed, aiming at the characteristics of the complex input-output relationship and… More >

Guobin He*, Rui Su, Jinxin Yang, Yuanping Huang, Huanlin Chen, Donghui Zhang, Cangtao Yang, Wenwen Li

    Energy Engineering, Vol.120, No.9, pp. 2133-2154, 2023, DOI:10.32604/ee.2023.029007

Abstract In the framework of vigorous promotion of low-carbon power system growth as well as economic globalization, multi-resource penetration in active distribution networks has been advancing fiercely. In particular, distributed generation (DG) based on renewable energy is critical for active distribution network operation enhancement. To comprehensively analyze the accessing impact of DG in distribution networks from various parts, this paper establishes an optimal DG location and sizing planning model based on active power losses, voltage profile, pollution emissions, and the economics of DG costs as well as meteorological conditions. Subsequently, multi-objective particle swarm optimization (MOPSO) is applied to obtain the optimal… More >

Dynamic Allocation of Manufacturing Tasks and Resources in Shared Manufacturing

    Caiyun Liu, Peng Liu*

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.36, No.3, pp. 3221-3242, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.035114

Abstract Shared manufacturing is recognized as a new point-to-point manufacturing mode in the digital era. Shared manufacturing is referred to as a new manufacturing mode to realize the dynamic allocation of manufacturing tasks and resources. Compared with the traditional mode, shared manufacturing offers more abundant manufacturing resources and flexible configuration options. This paper proposes a model based on the description of the dynamic allocation of tasks and resources in the shared manufacturing environment, and the characteristics of shared manufacturing resource allocation. The execution of manufacturing tasks, in which candidate manufacturing resources enter or exit at various time nodes, enables the dynamic… More >

An Improved Multi-Objective Particle Swarm Optimization Routing on MANET

    G. Rajeshkumar1,*, M. Vinoth Kumar2, K. Sailaja Kumar3, Surbhi Bhatia4, Arwa Mashat5, Pankaj Dadheech6

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.44, No.2, pp. 1187-1200, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.026137

Abstract A Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a group of low-power consumption of wireless mobile nodes that configure a wireless network without the assistance of any existing infrastructure/centralized organization. The primary aim of MANETs is to extend flexibility into the self-directed, mobile, and wireless domain, in which a cluster of autonomous nodes forms a MANET routing system. An Intrusion Detection System (IDS) is a tool that examines a network for malicious behavior/policy violations. A network monitoring system is often used to report/gather any suspicious attacks/violations. An IDS is a software program or hardware system that monitors network/security traffic for malicious… More >

    Maedeh Mohammadi Azni1, Mohammad Ali Sadrnia1, Shahab S. Band2,*, Zulkefli Bin Mansor3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.72, No.1, pp. 215-226, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.023030

Abstract Automobile power windows are mechanisms that can be opened and shut with the press of a button. Although these windows can comfort the effort of occupancy to move the window, failure to recognize the person's body part at the right time will result in damage and in some cases, loss of that part. An anti-pinch mechanism is an excellent choice to solve this problem, which detects the obstacle in the glass path immediately and moves it down. In this paper, an optimal solution is presented for fault detection of the anti-pinch window system. The anti-pinch makes it possible to detect… More >

Operation Optimal Control of Urban Rail Train Based on Multi-Objective Particle Swarm Optimization

    Liang Jin1,*, Qinghui Meng1, Shuang Liang2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.42, No.1, pp. 387-395, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.017745

Abstract The energy consumption of train operation occupies a large proportion of the total consumption of railway transportation. In order to improve the operating energy utilization rate of trains, a multi-objective particle swarm optimization (MPSO) algorithm with energy consumption, punctuality and parking accuracy as the objective and safety as the constraint is built. To accelerate its the convergence process, the train operation progression is divided into several modes according to the train speed-distance curve. A human-computer interactive particle swarm optimization algorithm is proposed, which presents the optimized results after a certain number of iterations to the decision maker, and the satisfactory… More >

    Haitao Yue1, Chenguang Guo1,*, Qiang Li1, Lijuan Zhao1, Guangbo Hao2

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.124, No.3, pp. 937-952, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2020.010565

Abstract To improve the milling surface quality of the Al-Li alloy thin-wall workpieces and reduce the cutting energy consumption. Experimental research on the milling processing of AA2195 Al-Li alloy thin-wall workpieces based on Response Surface Methodology was carried out. The single factor and interaction of milling parameters on surface roughness and specific cutting energy were analyzed, and the multi-objective optimization model was constructed. The Multiobjective Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm introducing the Chaos Local Search algorithm and the adaptive inertial weight was applied to determine the optimal combination of milling parameters. It was observed that surface roughness was mainly influenced by feed… More >

    Zhe Liu1,2,*, Bao Xiang1,3, Yuqing Song1, Hu Lu1, Qingfeng Liu1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.58, No.2, pp. 451-461, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.04069

Abstract Most image segmentation methods based on clustering algorithms use single-objective function to implement image segmentation. To avoid the defect, this paper proposes a new image segmentation method based on a multi-objective particle swarm optimization (PSO) clustering algorithm. This unsupervised algorithm not only offers a new similarity computing approach based on electromagnetic forces, but also obtains the proper number of clusters which is determined by scale-space theory. It is experimentally demonstrated that the applicability and effectiveness of the proposed multi-objective PSO clustering algorithm. More >
