An Adaptive Hate Speech Detection Approach Using Neutrosophic Neural Networks for Social Media Forensics

    Yasmine M. Ibrahim1,2, Reem Essameldin3, Saad M. Darwish1,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.79, No.1, pp. 243-262, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2024.047840

Abstract Detecting hate speech automatically in social media forensics has emerged as a highly challenging task due to the complex nature of language used in such platforms. Currently, several methods exist for classifying hate speech, but they still suffer from ambiguity when differentiating between hateful and offensive content and they also lack accuracy. The work suggested in this paper uses a combination of the Whale Optimization Algorithm (WOA) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to adjust the weights of two Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLPs) for neutrosophic sets classification. During the training process of the MLP, the WOA is employed to explore and determine… More >

Cotangent Similarity Measure of Consistent Neutrosophic Sets and Application to Multiple Attribute Decision-Making Problems in Neutrosophic Multi-Valued Setting

    Angyan Tu1,2, Jiancheng Chen3, Bing Wang1,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.133, No.2, pp. 377-387, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.021299

Abstract A neutrosophic multi-valued set (NMVS) is a crucial representation for true, false, and indeterminate multi-valued information. Then, a consistent single-valued neutrosophic set (CSVNS) can effectively reflect the mean and consistency degree of true, false, and indeterminate multi-valued sequences and solve the operational issues between different multi-valued sequence lengths in NMVS. However, there has been no research on consistent single-valued neutrosophic similarity measures in the existing literature. This paper proposes cotangent similarity measures and weighted cotangent similarity measures between CSVNSs based on cotangent function in the neutrosophic multi-valued setting. The cosine similarity measures show the cosine of the angle between two… More >

Sine Trigonometry Operational Laws for Complex Neutrosophic Sets and Their Aggregation Operators in Material Selection

    D. Ajay1, J. Aldring1, G. Rajchakit2, P. Hammachukiattikul3, N. Boonsatit4,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.130, No.2, pp. 1033-1076, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.018267

Abstract In this paper, sine trigonometry operational laws (ST-OLs) have been extended to neutrosophic sets (NSs) and the operations and functionality of these laws are studied. Then, extending these ST-OLs to complex neutrosophic sets (CNSs) forms the core of this work. Some of the mathematical properties are proved based on ST-OLs. Fundamental operations and the distance measures between complex neutrosophic numbers (CNNs) based on the ST-OLs are discussed with numerical illustrations. Further the arithmetic and geometric aggregation operators are established and their properties are verified with numerical data. The general properties of the developed sine trigonometry weighted averaging/geometric aggregation operators for… More >

An Improved Method Based on TODIM and TOPSIS for Multi-Attribute Decision-Making with Multi-Valued Neutrosophic Sets

    Dongsheng Xu, Lijuan Peng*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.129, No.2, pp. 907-926, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2021.016720

Abstract Due to the complexity of decision-making problems and the subjectivity of decision-makers in practical application, it is necessary to adopt different forms of information expression according to the actual situation of specific decision-making problems and choose the best method to solve them. Multi-valued neutrosophic set, as an extension of neutrosophic set, can more effectively and accurately describe incomplete, uncertain or inconsistent information. TODIM and TOPSIS methods are two commonly used multi-attribute decision-making methods, each of which has its advantages and disadvantages. This paper proposes a new method based on TODIM and TOPSIS to solve multi-attribute decision-making problems under multi-valued neutrosophic… More >

Fault Diagnoses of Hydraulic Turbine Using the Dimension Root Similarity Measure of Single-valued Neutrosophic Sets

    Jun Ye

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.24, No.1, pp. 1-8, 2018, DOI:10.1080/10798587.2016.1261955

Abstract This paper proposes a dimension root distance and its similarity measure of single-valued neutrosophic sets (SVNSs), and then develops the fault diagnosis method of hydraulic turbine by using the dimension root similarity measure of SVNSs. By the similarity measures between the fault diagnosis patterns and a testing sample with single-valued neutrosophic information and the relation indices, we can determine the main fault type and the ranking order of various vibration faults for predicting some possible fault trend. Then, the comparison of the fault diagnoses of hydraulic turbine based of the proposed dimension root similarity measure and the existing cotangent similarity… More >
