Optimal Operation Strategy of Electricity-Hydrogen Regional Energy System under Carbon-Electricity Market Trading

    Jingyu Li1,2, Mushui Wang1,2,*, Zhaoyuan Wu1,3, Guizhen Tian1,2, Na Zhang1,2, Guangchen Liu1,2

    Energy Engineering, Vol.121, No.3, pp. 619-641, 2024, DOI:10.32604/ee.2023.044862

Abstract Given the “double carbon” objective and the drive toward low-carbon power, investigating the integration and interaction within the carbon-electricity market can enhance renewable energy utilization and facilitate energy conservation and emission reduction endeavors. However, further research is necessary to explore operational optimization methods for establishing a regional energy system using Power-to-Hydrogen (P2H) technology, focusing on participating in combined carbon-electricity market transactions. This study introduces an innovative Electro-Hydrogen Regional Energy System (EHRES) in this context. This system integrates renewable energy sources, a P2H system, cogeneration units, and energy storage devices. The core purpose of this integration is to optimize renewable energy… More > Graphic Abstract

Automatic Driving Operation Strategy of Urban Rail Train Based on Improved DQN Algorithm

    Tian Lu, Bohong Liu*

    Journal on Artificial Intelligence, Vol.5, pp. 113-129, 2023, DOI:10.32604/jai.2023.043970

Abstract To realize a better automatic train driving operation control strategy for urban rail trains, an automatic train driving method with improved DQN algorithm (classical deep reinforcement learning algorithm) is proposed as a research object. Firstly, the train control model is established by considering the train operation requirements. Secondly, the dueling network and DDQN ideas are introduced to prevent the value function overestimation problem. Finally, the priority experience playback and “restricted speed arrival time” are used to reduce the useless experience utilization. The experiments are carried out to verify the train operation strategy method by simulating the actual line conditions. From… More >

Analysis and Economic Evaluation of Hourly Operation Strategy Based on MSW Classification and LNG Multi-Generation System

Xueqing Lu, Yuetao Shi*, Jinsong Li

    Energy Engineering, Vol.120, No.6, pp. 1325-1352, 2023, DOI:10.32604/ee.2023.026142

Abstract In this study, a model of combined cooling, heating and power system with municipal solid waste (MSW) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) as energy sources was proposed and developed based on the energy demand of a large community, and MSW was classified and utilized. The system operated by determining power by heating load, and measures were taken to reduce operating costs by purchasing and selling LNG, natural gas (NG), cooling, heating, and power. Based on this system model, three operation strategies were proposed based on whether MSW was classified and the length of kitchen waste fermentation time, and each strategy… More > Graphic Abstract

Operation Strategy Analysis and Configuration Optimization of Solar CCHP System

    Duojin Fan1, Chengji Shi2, Kai Sun2, Xiaojuan Lu2,*

    Energy Engineering, Vol.118, No.4, pp. 1197-1221, 2021, DOI:10.32604/EE.2021.014532

Abstract This paper proposed a new type of combined cooling heating and power (CCHP) system, including the parabolic trough solar thermal (PTST) power generation and gas turbine power generation. The thermal energy storage subsystem in the PTST unit provides both thermal energy and electrical energy. Based on the life cycle method, the configuration optimization under eight operation strategies is studied with the economy, energy, and environment indicators. The eight operation strategies include FEL, FEL-EC, FEL-TES, FEL-TES&EC, FTL, FTL-EC, FTL-TES, and FTL-TES&EC. The feasibility of each strategy is verified by taking a residential building cluster as an example. The indicators under the… More >
