    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.145, No.3, pp. 3813-3837, 2025, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2025.073615 - 23 December 2025

Abstract Accurate prediction of perovskite photovoltaic materials’ optoelectronic properties is crucial for developing efficient and stable materials, advancing solar technology. To address poor interpretability, high computational complexity, and inaccurate predictions in relevant machine learning models, this paper proposes a novel methodology. The technical route of this paper mainly centers on the random forest-knowledge distillation-bidirectional gated recurrent unit with attention technology (namely RF-KD-BIGRUA), which is applied in perovskite photovoltaic materials. Primarily, it combines random forest to quantitatively assess feature importance, selecting variables with significant impacts on photoelectric conversion efficiency. Subsequently, statistical techniques analyze the weight distribution of More >

    Xiangyang Cao1,2, Yaojie Zheng1,2, Hanbin Xiao1,2,*, Min Xiao2,3,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.143, No.1, pp. 289-334, 2025, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2025.063954 - 11 April 2025

Abstract This study investigates the Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) control method of offshore wind-photovoltaic hybrid power generation system with offshore crane-assisted. A new algorithm of Global Fast Integral Sliding Mode Control (GFISMC) is proposed based on the tip speed ratio method and sliding mode control. The algorithm uses fast integral sliding mode surface and fuzzy fast switching control items to ensure that the offshore wind power generation system can track the maximum power point quickly and with low jitter. An offshore wind power generation system model is presented to verify the algorithm effect. An offshore More >

Mathematical modeling of various CdTe/CISSe based hetero-structure photovoltaic cells incorporating Si and CdS: using Scaps 1D simulator

    N. A. Jahan*, S. I. Parash, Md. Asif Hossain, T. Chowdhury

    Chalcogenide Letters, Vol.21, No.8, pp. 675-686, 2024, DOI:10.15251/CL.2024.218.675

Abstract In this study, the primary focus was on enhancing the performance of Photovoltaic devices by modifying the ETL and HTL transport layers. We conducted a comprehensive analysis of efficiency and fill factor variations resulting from adjustments in key device parameters, notably the active layer` thickness. The HTL layer employed materials such as CdTe (Cadmium telluride) and CISSe (Copper indium sulfur selenide), while the ETL layer utilized CdS (Cadmium sulfide), ZnO (Zinc oxide), SnOx (Stannous oxalte), SnO2 (Tin oxide), and TiO2 (Titanium dioxide). Additionally, Silicon (Si) was incorporated into our structure. Our highest efficiency recorded was 27.38%, More >

The Spherical q-Linear Diophantine Fuzzy Multiple-Criteria Group Decision-Making Based on Differential Measure

    Huzaira Razzaque1, Shahzaib Ashraf1,*, Muhammad Naeem2, Yu-Ming Chu3,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.138, No.2, pp. 1925-1950, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.030030 - 17 November 2023

Abstract Spherical q-linear Diophantine fuzzy sets (Sq-LDFSs) proved more effective for handling uncertainty and vagueness in multi-criteria decision-making (MADM). It does not only cover the data in two variable parameters but is also beneficial for three parametric data. By Pythagorean fuzzy sets, the difference is calculated only between two parameters (membership and non-membership). According to human thoughts, fuzzy data can be found in three parameters (membership uncertainty, and non-membership). So, to make a compromise decision, comparing Sq-LDFSs is essential. Existing measures of different fuzzy sets do, however, can have several flaws that can lead to counterintuitive… More >

    A. M. Radutaa,b, A. M. Panaitescua, A. Radua, L. Iona, V. A. Antohea,c, O. Tomaa, S. Iftimiea, S. Antohea,d,*

    Chalcogenide Letters, Vol.20, No.12, pp. 871-882, 2023, DOI:10.15251/CL.2023.2012.871

Abstract This paper proposes a comparative study between two sub-micrometric multi-layered photovoltaic cells, based on AII–BVI compounds, using different structures for the holes transport and collection electrode. Using the modified form of the Shockley equation, the diode factor, n, the reverse saturation current, I0, and the series Rs and shunt Rsh resistances were evaluated and their effect on the photovoltaic cells performances were discussed. The photovoltaic performances were analysed by current-voltage characteristics at illumination in standard AM 1.5 conditions, and the specific parameters were determined. More >

Abstract A graph invariant is a number that can be easily and uniquely calculated through a graph. Recently, part of mathematical graph invariants has been portrayed and utilized for relationship examination. Nevertheless, no reliable appraisal has been embraced to pick, how much these invariants are associated with a network graph in interconnection networks of various fields of computer science, physics, and chemistry. In this paper, the study talks about sudoku networks will be networks of fractal nature having some applications in computer science like sudoku puzzle game, intelligent systems, Local area network (LAN) development and parallel… More >

Fuzzy Based MPPT and Solar Power Forecasting Using Artificial Intelligence

    G. Geethamahalakshmi1,*, N. Kalaiarasi2, D. Nageswari1

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.32, No.3, pp. 1667-1685, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.022728 - 09 December 2021

Abstract Solar energy is the radiant heat and light energy harvested by ultra violet rays to convert into electrical Direct Current (DC). The solar energy stood ahead of other renewable energy as it can produce a constant level of alternating current over the year with minimal harmonic distortions. The renewable energy attracts the energy harvesters as there is rise of deficiency of carbon and reduction of efficiency in thermal energy generation. The concerns associated with the solar power generation are the fluctuation in the generated direct current due to the displacement of sun and deviation in… More >
