Abstract Intelligent healthcare networks represent a significant component in digital applications, where the requirements hold within quality-of-service (QoS) reliability and safeguarding privacy. This paper addresses these requirements through the integration of enabler paradigms, including federated learning (FL), cloud/edge computing, software-defined/virtualized networking infrastructure, and converged prediction algorithms. The study focuses on achieving reliability and efficiency in real-time prediction models, which depend on the interaction flows and network topology. In response to these challenges, we introduce a modified version of federated logistic regression (FLR) that takes into account convergence latencies and the accuracy of the final FL model within healthcare networks. Abstract Software-defined networking (SDN) represents a paradigm shift in network traffic management. It distinguishes between the data and control planes. APIs are then used to communicate between these planes. The controller is central to the management of an SDN network and is subject to security concerns. This research shows how a deep learning algorithm can detect intrusions in SDN-based IoT networks. Overfitting, low accuracy, and efficient feature selection is all discussed. We propose a hybrid machine learning-based approach based on Random Forest and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM). In this study, a new dataset based specifically on Software Defined Networks is used… More >

Wind Speed Prediction Modeling Based on the Wavelet Neural Network

    Zhenhua Guo1,2, Lixin Zhang1,*, Xue Hu1, Huanmei Chen2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.26, No.3, pp. 625-630, 2020, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2020.013941

Abstract Wind speed prediction is an important part of the wind farm management and wind power grid connection. Having accurate prediction of short-term wind speed is the basis for predicting wind power. This paper proposes a short-term wind speed prediction strategy based on the wavelet analysis and the multilayer perceptual neural network for the Dabancheng area, in China. Four wavelet neural network models using the Morlet function as the wavelet basis function were developed to forecast short-term wind speed in January, April, July, and October. Predicted wind speed was compared across the four models using the mean square error and regression.… More >
