An Asymmetric Controlled Bidirectional Quantum State Transmission Protocol

    Yiru Sun1,2, Yuling Chen1,*, Haseeb Ahmad3, Zhanhong Wei4

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.59, No.1, pp. 215-227, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.05253

Abstract In this paper, we propose an asymmetric controlled bidirectional transmission protocol. In the protocol, by using the thirteen-qubit entangled state as the quantum channel, Alice can realize the transmission of a two-qubit equatorial state for Bob and Bob can transmit a four-qubit equatorial state for Alice under the control of Charlie. Firstly, we give the construction of the quantum channel, which can be done by performing several H and CNOT operations. Secondly, through implementing the appropriate measurements and the corresponding recovery operations, the desired states can be transmitted simultaneously, securely and deterministically. Finally, we analyze the performance of the protocol,… More >

The Far-field Green’s Integral in Stokes Flow from the Boundary Integral Formulation

    E.A. Chadwick1

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.96, No.3, pp. 177-184, 2013, DOI:10.3970/cmes.2013.096.177

Abstract In boundary integral methods for Stokes flow, the far-field Green’s integral is usually taken to be zero without proof. However, this is not obviously the case, the reason being that Stokes flow is a near-field approximation and breaks down in the far-field. Here, we show that it is zero as expected by matching it to a far-field Green’s integral in Oseen flow. Hence, there are similarities to the matched asymptotic procedure matching a near-field Stokes flow to a far-field Oseen flow, except in this case a different and new procedure is required to deal with the Green’s integrals. In particular,… More >

Analysis of Structure with Material Interface by Meshfree Method

    S. Masuda1, H. Noguchi1

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.11, No.3, pp. 131-144, 2006, DOI:10.3970/cmes.2006.011.131

Abstract This paper presents a novel and accurate technique for modeling discontinuous derivatives in meshfree methods, which will be used in the analysis of structures with material interfaces. The novelty lies in the formulation of the Moving Least Squares Approximation (MLSA) scheme where an introduced discontinuous derivative basis function replaces the conventional linear basis function. Furthermore, it is easy to implement this novelty into existing meshfree methods, such as the Element Free Galerkin (EFG) method, which are based on the MLSA scheme. The successful analyses of one and two-dimensional structures with material interfaces demonstrate the potential of the proposed technique. More >

A Numerical Study of the Transitions of Laminar Natural Flows in a Square Cavity

    Nouri Sabrina1,*, Abderrahmane Ghezal1, Said Abboudi2, Pierre Spiteri3

    FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Vol.14, No.2, pp. 121-135, 2018, DOI: 10.3970/fdmp.2018.02045

Abstract This paper deals with the numerical study of heat and mass transfer occurring in a cavity filled with a low Prandtl number liquid. The model includes the momentum, energy and mass balance equations. These equations are discretized by a finite volume technique and solved in the framework of a custom SIMPLER method developed in FORTRAN. The effect of the problem characteristic parameters, namely the Lewis and Prandtl numbers, on the instability of the flow and related solute distribution is studied for positive and negative thermal and solutal buoyancy forces ratio. Nusselt and Sherwood numbers are derived for values of the… More >

Controlled Cyclic Remote State Preparation of Arbitrary Qubit States

    Mingming Wang1,2,*, Chen Yang1, Reza Mousoli3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.55, No.2, pp. 321-329, 2018, DOI:10.3970/cmc.2018.02064

Abstract Quantum secure communications could securely transmit quantum information by using quantum resource. Recently, novel applications such as bidirectional and asymmetric quantum protocols have been developed. In this paper, we propose a new method for generating entanglement which is highly useful for multiparty quantum communications such as teleportation and Remote State Preparation (RSP). As one of its applications, we propose a new type of quantum secure communications, i.e. cyclic RSP protocols. Starting from a four-party controlled cyclic RSP protocol of one-qubit states, we show that this cyclic protocol can be generalized to a multiparty controlled cyclic RSP protocol for preparation of… More >
