    Effect of Sulfuric Acid on the Physiochemical Properties of Chitosan-PVA Blend for Direct Methanol Fuel Cell

    Abstract In this work, we have successfully cross-linked the different weight ratio of Chitosan-PVA blend with sulfuric acid. The effect of cross-linker on the properties of blends are studied by using different experimental technique. The cross-linked membrane provides higher ion exchange capacity due to the procurement of extra ionic hooping sites in the membrane. The compatibility of the blends are confirmed from the FTIR and DSC analysis. The crosslinking reaction fastening the phase transition behavior of the blends which reduces the glass transition temperature.     Abstract Microalgae biomass is an ideal precursor to prepare renewable carbon materials, which has broad application. The bioaccumulation efficiency (lipids, proteins, carbohydrates) and biomass productivity of microalgae are influenced by spectroscopy during the culture process. In this study, a bilayer plate-type photobioreactor was designed to cultivate Chlorella protothecoides with spectral selectivity by nanofluids. Compared to culture without spectral selectivity, the spectral selectivity of Ag/CoSO4 nanofluids increased microalgae biomass by 5.76%, and the spectral selectivity of CoSO4 solution increased by 17.14%.     Abstract The papain catalyzed enzymatic synthesis of amido amines catalyzed from aromatic diamines and N-carbobenzyloxy (Z) protected amino acids (Gly, L-Leu, L-Phe) is described. The amides precipitate (yield 19–47 % depending on the amino acid used) from the reaction mixture after one amide bond is formed thus preventing the formation of diamides in all cases. In this work, a compact in size pair of parallel coupled symmetric stepped impedance-based resonator is designed with supporting to the WiMAX communication standards.
