Application aux enjeux de suivi et de gestion du trait de côte en France

    Johan Desbonnet1 , Françoise Gourmelon1, Christophe Claramunt2

    Revue Internationale de Géomatique, Vol.29, No.1, pp. 57-80, 2019, DOI:10.3166/rig.2019.00079

Self-Tuning Parameters for Decision Tree Algorithm Based on Big Data Analytics

    Manar Mohamed Hafez1,*, Essam Eldin F. Elfakharany1, Amr A. Abohany2, Mostafa Thabet3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.75, No.1, pp. 943-958, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.034078

Abstract Big data is usually unstructured, and many applications require the analysis in real-time. Decision tree (DT) algorithm is widely used to analyze big data. Selecting the optimal depth of DT is time-consuming process as it requires many iterations. In this paper, we have designed a modified version of a (DT). The tree aims to achieve optimal depth by self-tuning running parameters and improving the accuracy. The efficiency of the modified (DT) was verified using two datasets (airport and fire datasets). The airport dataset has 500000 instances and the fire dataset has 600000 instances. A comparison More >

An Optimized Deep Learning Approach for Improving Airline Services

    Shimaa Ouf*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.75, No.1, pp. 1213-1233, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.034399

Abstract The aviation industry is one of the most competitive markets. The most common approach for airline service providers is to improve passenger satisfaction. Passenger satisfaction in the aviation industry occurs when passengers’ expectations are met during flights. Airline service quality is critical in attracting new passengers and retaining existing ones. It is crucial to identify passengers’ pain points and enhance their satisfaction with the services offered. The airlines used a variety of techniques to improve service quality. They used data analysis approaches to analyze the passenger point data. These solutions have focused simply on surveys;… More >

Visualization Techniques via MLBS for Personnel Management in Major Events

    Yu Su1,2,3, Lingjuan Hou2,3,*, Sinan Li1, Zhaochang Jiang1, Haoran Peng4

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.46, No.1, pp. 521-536, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.028606

Abstract Mobile location-based services (MLBS) refer to services around geographic location data. Mobile terminals use wireless communication networks (or satellite positioning systems) to obtain users’ geographic location coordinate information based on spatial databases and integrate with other information to provide users with required location-related services. The development of systems based on MLBS has significance and practical value. In this paper a visualization management information system for personnel in major events based on microservices, namely MEPMIS, is designed and implemented by using MLBS. The system consists of a server and a client app, and it has some… More >

An Immutable Framework for Smart Healthcare Using Blockchain Technology

    Faneela1, Muazzam A. Khan1, Suliman A. Alsuhibany2,*, Walid El-Shafai3,4, Mujeeb Ur Rehman5, Jawad Ahmad6

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.46, No.1, pp. 165-179, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.035066

Abstract The advancements in sensing technologies, information processing, and communication schemes have revolutionized the healthcare sector. Electronic Healthcare Records (EHR) facilitate the patients, doctors, hospitals, and other stakeholders to maintain valuable data and medical records. The traditional EHRs are based on cloud-based architectures and are susceptible to multiple cyberattacks. A single attempt of a successful Denial of Service (DoS) attack can compromise the complete healthcare system. This article introduces a secure and immutable blockchain-based framework for the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) to address the stated challenges. The proposed architecture is on the idea of a More >

Latency Minimization Using an Adaptive Load Balancing Technique in Microservices Applications

    G. Selvakumar1,*, L. S. Jayashree2, S. Arumugam3

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.46, No.1, pp. 1215-1231, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.032509

Abstract Advancements in cloud computing and virtualization technologies have revolutionized Enterprise Application Development with innovative ways to design and develop complex systems. Microservices Architecture is one of the recent techniques in which Enterprise Systems can be developed as fine-grained smaller components and deployed independently. This methodology brings numerous benefits like scalability, resilience, flexibility in development, faster time to market, etc. and the advantages; Microservices bring some challenges too. Multiple microservices need to be invoked one by one as a chain. In most applications, more than one chain of microservices runs in parallel to complete a particular… More >

Efficient Energy and Delay Reduction Model for Wireless Sensor Networks

    Arslan Iftikhar1, M. A. Elmagzoub2, Ansar Munir1,*, Hamad Abosaq Al Salem2, Mahmood ul Hassan3, Jarallah Alqahtani2, Asadullah Shaikh2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.46, No.1, pp. 1153-1168, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.030802

Abstract In every network, delay and energy are crucial for communication and network life. In wireless sensor networks, many tiny nodes create networks with high energy consumption and compute routes for better communication. Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) is a very complex scenario to compute minimal delay with data aggregation and energy efficiency. In this research, we compute minimal delay and energy efficiency for improving the quality of service of any WSN. The proposed work is based on energy and distance parameters as taken dependent variables with data aggregation. Data aggregation performs on different models, namely Hybrid-Low… More >
