Schweizer-Sklar T-Norm Operators for Picture Fuzzy Hypersoft Sets: Advancing Suistainable Technology in Social Healthy Environments

    Xingsi Xue1, Himanshu Dhumras2,*, Garima Thakur3, Rakesh Kumar Bajaj4, Varun Shukla5

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.84, No.1, pp. 583-606, 2025, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2025.066310 - 09 June 2025

Abstract Ensuring a sustainable and eco-friendly environment is essential for promoting a healthy and balanced social life. However, decision-making in such contexts often involves handling vague, imprecise, and uncertain information. To address this challenge, this study presents a novel multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) approach based on picture fuzzy hypersoft sets (PFHSS), integrating the flexibility of Schweizer-Sklar triangular norm-based aggregation operators. The proposed aggregation mechanisms—weighted average and weighted geometric operators—are formulated using newly defined operational laws under the PFHSS framework and are proven to satisfy essential mathematical properties, such as idempotency, monotonicity, and boundedness. The decision-making model systematically… More >

Impact of penile prostheses and intracavernosal injections on psychosocial functioning

    Paul H. Chung1, Andrew Salib1, Taylor Tidwell1, Kaitlin Berry1, Joon Yau Leong1, Rosemary Frasso2

    Canadian Journal of Urology, Vol.29, No.1, pp. 10969-10975, 2022

Abstract Introduction: Prior studies evaluating the efficacy of penile prostheses (PP) and intracavernosal injections (ICI) have focused predominantly on sexual function, not psychosocial health. We utilized the freelisting technique and the Self-Esteem and Relationship (SEAR) questionnaire to evaluate the impact of PP and ICI treatments on psychosocial functioning.
Materials and methods: IRB-approval was obtained to perform an evaluation of patients who underwent PP or ICI treatment for erectile dysfunction (ED). Using a modified freelisting approach, participants were asked to give three one-word responses to questions about sexual function and relationships. Participants also completed the SEAR questionnaire and results… More >

Properties of a Scale of Self-Care Behaviors Facing COVID-19: An Exploratory Analysis in a Sample of University Students in Huanuco, Peru

    Mely Ruiz-Aquino1, Viter Gerson Carlos Trinidad1,2, Aldo Alvarez-Risco3, Jaime A. Yáñez4,5,*

    International Journal of Mental Health Promotion, Vol.24, No.6, pp. 959-974, 2022, DOI:10.32604/ijmhp.2022.021172 - 28 September 2022

Abstract The general objective of this article was to construct and describe the psychometric properties of a scale of selfcare behaviors against COVID-19. It was a descriptive, cross-sectional, psychometric validation study of a scale created to measure self-care behaviors in relation to COVID-19 in a total sample of 333 probabilistically selected. Qualitative validity was evaluated by a review of 10 experts and quantitative validity by means of exploratory factor analysis using the principal components method. Internal consistency was measured with Cronbach’s alpha twice and the test-retest was evaluated by calculating the intraclass coefficient. The final scale… More >
