Three-dimensional Numerical Study of the Effect of Heating Sources Dimension on Natural Convection in a Cavity Submitted to Constant Heat Flux

    L. Belarche1,2, B. Abourida1, S. Smolen3

    FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Vol.11, No.2, pp. 157-170, 2015, DOI:10.3970/fdmp.2015.011.157

Abstract Natural convection in a cubical cavity, discretely heated is studied numerically using a three-dimensional finite volume formulation. Two heating square portions are placed on the vertical wall of the enclosure, while the rest of the considered wall is adiabatic. The opposite vertical wall is maintained at a cold uniform temperature and the other walls are adiabatic. Effects of the heating sections dimensions ε (0.15 ≤ ε ≤ 0.35) and the Rayleigh number Ra (103Ra ≤ 107) on the fluid flow and the heat transfer within the cavity are studied. The obtained results show that the flow intensity and… More >

Numerical Study of Melting Coupled Natural Convection Around Localized Heat Sources

Mustapha Faraji1, El Alami Mustapha, Najam Mostafa

    FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Vol.10, No.2, pp. 279-298, 2014, DOI:10.3970/fdmp.2014.010.279

Abstract A study is reported of heat transfer and melting in a fan-less thermal management system consisting of an insulated horizontal cavity filled with a phase change material (PCM) and heated from below by a conducting plate supporting three identical protruding heat sources. Such a PCM enclosure can be used as a heat sink for the cooling of electronic components. The advantage of this cooling strategy is that PCMs characterized by high energy storage density and small transition temperature interval, are able to store a high amount of heat (thereby providing efficient passive cooling). A two-dimensional simulation model is developed that… More >

Modeling and Predicting of News Popularity in Social Media Sources

    Kemal Akyol1,*, Baha Şen2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.61, No.1, pp. 69-80, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.08143

Abstract The popularity of news, which conveys newsworthy events which occur during day to people, is substantially important for the spectator or audience. People interact with news website and share news links or their opinions. This study uses supervised learning based machine learning techniques in order to predict news popularity in social media sources. These techniques consist of basically two phrases: a) the training data is sent as input to the classifier algorithm, b) the performance of pre-learned algorithm is tested on the testing data. And so, a knowledge discovery from the data is performed. In this context, firstly, twelve datasets… More >

High Capacity Data Hiding in Encrypted Image Based on Compressive Sensing for Nonequivalent Resources

    Di Xiao1,*, Jia Liang1, Qingqing Ma1, Yanping Xiang1, Yushu Zhang2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.58, No.1, pp. 1-13, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.02171

Abstract To fulfill the requirements of data security in environments with nonequivalent resources, a high capacity data hiding scheme in encrypted image based on compressive sensing (CS) is proposed by fully utilizing the adaptability of CS to nonequivalent resources. The original image is divided into two parts: one part is encrypted with traditional stream cipher; the other part is turned to the prediction error and then encrypted based on CS to vacate room simultaneously. The collected non-image data is firstly encrypted with simple stream cipher. For data security management, the encrypted non-image data is then embedded into the encrypted image, and… More >

New Method for Computer Identification Through Electromagnetic Radiation

    Jun Shi1, Zhujun Zhang2, Yangyang Li1,*, Rui Wang1, Hao Shi1, Xile Li3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.57, No.1, pp. 69-80, 2018, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2018.03688

Abstract The electromagnetic waves emitted from devices can be a source of information leakage and can cause electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) problems. Electromagnetic radiation signals from computer displays can be a security risk if they are intercepted and reconstructed. In addition, the leaks may reveal the hardware information of the computer, which is more important for some attackers, protectors and security inspection workers. In this paper, we propose a statistical distribution based algorithm (SD algorithm) to extracted eigenvalues from electromagnetic radiate video signals, and then classified computers by using classifier based on Bayesian and SVM. We can identify computers automatically and accurately… More >
