    Oncology Research, Vol.31, No.4, pp. 591-604, 2023, DOI:10.32604/or.2023.029282

Abstract Ovarian cancer (OV) is highly heterogeneous tumor with a very poor prognosis. Studies increasingly show that T cell exhaustion is prognostically relevant in OV. The aim of this study was to dissect the heterogeneity of T cell subclusters in OV through single cell transcriptomic analysis. The single RNA-sequencing (scRNA-seq) data of five OV patients were analyzed, and six major cell clusters were identified after threshold screening. Further clustering of T cell-associated clusters revealed four subtypes. Pathways related to oxidative phosphorylation, G2M checkpoint, JAK-STAT and MAPK signaling were significantly activated, while the p53 pathway was inhibited in the CD8+ exhausted T… More > Graphic Abstract

Aging Analysis Framework of Windows-Based Systems through Differential-Analysis of System Snapshots

    Eun-Tae Jang1, Sung Hoon Baek2, Ki-Woong Park1,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.73, No.3, pp. 5091-5102, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.026663

Abstract When a Windows-based system is used for an exceedingly long time, its performance degrades, and the error occurrence rate tends to increase. This is generally called system aging. To investigate the reasons for system aging, various studies have been conducted within the range of the operating system kernel to the user application. However, finding an accurate reason for system performance degradation remains challenging research topic. In this study, system monitoring was conducted by dividing a system into ‘before software installation,’ ‘after software installation,’ and ‘after software removal.’ We confirmed that when a software installed in a system is removed, various… More >

UPFC Based Real-Time Optimization of Power Systems for Dynamic Voltage Regulation

    Serhat Berat Efe1,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.116, No.3, pp. 391-406, 2018, DOI:10.31614/cmes.2018.01784

Abstract Flexible alternating current transmission system (FACTS) components are used to utilize the electrical transmission lines at their optimum capacity. The best way to achieve this optimization is to manage the active and reactive power flows. A unified power flow controller (UPFC) is one of the most significant devices developed for the effective control of power flows. Although conventional UPFC structures can be used to achieve this process, the expansion of power systems has led to the necessity of developing various UPFC devices. This paper focuses on an advanced real time control approach of UPFC for dynamic voltage regulation. The developed… More >

New Interpretation to Variational Iteration Method: Convolution Iteration Method Based on Duhamel's Principle for Dynamic System Analysis

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.58, No.1, pp. 1-14, 2010, DOI:10.3970/cmes.2010.058.001

Abstract Addressing the identification problem of the general Lagrange multiplier in the He's variational iteration method, this paper proposes a new kind of method based on Duhamel's principle for the dynamic system response analysis. In this method, we have constructed an analytical iteration formula in terms of the convolution for the residual error at the nth iteration, and have given a new interpretation to He's variational iteration method. The analysis illustrates that the computational result of this method is equal to that of He's variational iteration method on the assumption of considering the impulse response of the linear parts, or equal… More >
