Abstract In networked mobile commerce network transactions, trust is the prerequisite and key to a smooth transaction. The measurement of trust between entities involves factors such as transaction amount, transaction time, personal income of consumer entities and their risk attitude towards trust, etc., so it is difficult to accurately calculate quantitatively. In order to find out the essential characteristics of this trust relationship, based on the research background of mobile commerce in the mobile network environment, a dynamic trust mechanism is proposed through the research of trust in the mobile network environment, trust influencing factors and trust mechanism. The calculation model… More >

Hybrid Soft Computing Technique Based Trust Evaluation Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks

    Supreet Kaur*, Vijay Kumar Joshi

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.26, No.2, pp. 217-226, 2020, DOI:10.31209/2018.100000064

Abstract Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are susceptible to safety threats due to cumulative dependence upon transmission, computing, and control mechanisms. Therefore, securing the end-to-end communication becomes a major area of research in WSNs. A majority of existing protocols are based upon signature and recommended-based trust evaluation techniques only. However, these techniques are vulnerable to wormhole attacks that happen due to lesser synchronization between the sensor nodes. Therefore, to handle this problem, a novel hybrid crossover-based ant colony optimization-based routing protocol is proposed. An integrated modified signature and recommendationbased trust evaluation protocol for WSNs is presented. Extensive experiments reveal that the proposed… More >

A Trust Value Sharing Scheme in Heterogeneous Identity Federation Topologies

    Ning Liu1, Fan Yang1, *, Xi Xiong1, 2, Yan Chang1, Shibin Zhang1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.65, No.2, pp. 1559-1570, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.010562

Abstract Recent developments in heterogeneous identity federation systems have heightened the need for the related trust management system. The trust management system evaluates, manages, and shares users’ trust values. The service provider (SP) members of the federation system rely on users’ trust values to determine which type and quality of service will be provided to the users. While identity federation systems have the potential to help federated users save time and energy and improve service experience, the benefits also come with significant privacy risks. So far, there has been little discussion about the privacy protection of users in heterogeneous identity federation… More >

Blockzone: A Decentralized and Trustworthy Data Plane for DNS

    Ning Hu1, Shi Yin1, Shen Su1, *, Xudong Jia1, Qiao Xiang2, Hao Liu3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.65, No.2, pp. 1531-1557, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.010949

Abstract The domain name system (DNS) provides a mapping service between memorable names and numerical internet protocol addresses, and it is a critical infrastructure of the Internet. The authenticity of DNS resolution results is crucial for ensuring the accessibility of Internet services. Hundreds of supplementary specifications of protocols have been proposed to compensate for the security flaws of DNS. However, DNS security incidents still occur frequently. Although DNS is a distributed system, for a specified domain name, only authorized authoritative servers can resolve it. Other servers must obtain the resolution result through a recursive or iterative resolving procedure, which renders DNS… More >

    Tian Cao1, Yan Chang1, *, Lili Yan1, Shibin Zhang1, Qirun Wang2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.65, No.2, pp. 1507-1517, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.010213

Abstract An electronic contract is a contract signed by electronic means, which is widely used in electronic commerce activities. In recent years, with the rapid development of quantum cryptography technology, the quantum electronic contract has been widely studied by researchers. Supported by the basic principles of quantum mechanics, a quantum electronic contract scheme based on the single photon is proposed in this paper. In this scheme, two copies of the same contract are signed by both parties involved, and then a copy of each contract is sent to a trusted third party. The trusted third party verifies the signatures of both… More >

Tao Liu, Gan Huang*, Ping Zhang

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.24, No.3, pp. 519-529, 2018, DOI:10.31209/2018.100000019

Abstract In this article, a new user authentication protocol using trust model, elliptic curve cryptography and biometrics for WSNs is submitted. The result of the trust model analysis indicates that the model can improve the model’s ability of withstanding attacks from the malicious nodes. The results of safety analysis and performance analysis for our proposed user authentication protocol demonstrate that this protocol can be flexible to all sorts of common known attacks and performs similarly or better compared with some active user authentication protocols. It is suitable for WSNs which have a prominent request for the security and the performance. More >

When Does Future Work Self Predict Work Engagement: the Boundary Conditions of Person-Vocation Fit and Trust in Supervisor

    Ying Xu1, Ping Guo2, Wenxia Zhou1,*

    International Journal of Mental Health Promotion, Vol.21, No.1, pp. 31-44, 2019, DOI:10.32604/IJMHP.2019.010742

Abstract Work engagement is a crucial positive psychological construct related to mental health. However, current self-directed and boundaryless career trend brings unprecedented challenges for organizations to foster employee engagement using traditional means. From an integrative perspective of the engagement theory and the career boundaryless theory, we built a model to test the moderating effect of person-vocation fit and trust in supervisor on the relationship between future work self and work engagement. After conducting a two-wave study with a sample of 231 employees, we found that future work-self was positively related to work engagement; and both person-vocation fit and trust in supervisor… More >
