Joint Watermarking and Encryption for Social Image Sharing

    Conghuan Ye1,*, Shenglong Tan1, Shi Li1, Jun Wang1, Qiankun Zuo1, Bing Xiong2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.83, No.2, pp. 2927-2946, 2025, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2025.062051 - 16 April 2025

Abstract With the fast development of multimedia social platforms, content dissemination on social media platforms is becoming more popular. Social image sharing can also raise privacy concerns. Image encryption can protect social images. However, most existing image protection methods cannot be applied to multimedia social platforms because of encryption in the spatial domain. In this work, the authors propose a secure social image-sharing method with watermarking/fingerprinting and encryption. First, the fingerprint code with a hierarchical community structure is designed based on social network analysis. Then, discrete wavelet transform (DWT) from block discrete cosine transform (DCT) directly… More >

A Hybrid Cybersecurity Algorithm for Digital Image Transmission over Advanced Communication Channel Models

    Naglaa F. Soliman1, Fatma E. Fadl-Allah2, Walid El-Shafai3,4,*, Mahmoud I. Aly2, Maali Alabdulhafith1, Fathi E. Abd El-Samie1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.79, No.1, pp. 201-241, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2024.046757 - 25 April 2024

Abstract The efficient transmission of images, which plays a large role in wireless communication systems, poses a significant challenge in the growth of multimedia technology. High-quality images require well-tuned communication standards. The Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access (SC-FDMA) is adopted for broadband wireless communications, because of its low sensitivity to carrier frequency offsets and low Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR). Data transmission through open-channel networks requires much concentration on security, reliability, and integrity. The data need a space away from unauthorized access, modification, or deletion. These requirements are to be fulfilled by digital image watermarking and… More >

Hybrid Watermarking and Encryption Techniques for Securing Medical Images

    Amel Ali Alhussan1,*, Hanaa A. Abdallah2, Sara Alsodairi2, Abdelhamied A. Ateya3

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.46, No.1, pp. 403-416, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.035048 - 20 January 2023

Abstract Securing medical data while transmission on the network is required because it is sensitive and life-dependent data. Many methods are used for protection, such as Steganography, Digital Signature, Cryptography, and Watermarking. This paper introduces a novel robust algorithm that combines discrete wavelet transform (DWT), discrete cosine transform (DCT), and singular value decomposition (SVD) digital image-watermarking algorithms. The host image is decomposed using a two-dimensional DWT (2D-DWT) to approximate low-frequency sub-bands in the embedding process. Then the sub-band low-high (LH) is decomposed using 2D-DWT to four new sub-bands. The resulting sub-band low-high (LH1) is decomposed using 2D-DWT… More >
