    A Numerical Study on the Mechanisms Producing Forces on Cylinders Interacting with Stratified Shear Environments

    Abstract A three dimensional (3D) numerical wave flume is used to investigate carefully the ISWs (Internal solitary wave) forces acting on cylinders interacting with a stratified shear environment. Using the Large-Eddy Simulation (LES) approach and analyzing the distribution of shear stress and pressure along the surface of the cylinder, the differential pressure resistance and the viscous force are obtained. The method of multiple linear regression analysis is adopted and a comprehensive influence coefficient is determined accordingly to account for the dimensionless forces acting on the cylinder.     Abstract This work aimed to investigate the synergetic therapeutic effects of polydeoxyribonucleotides (PDRN) combined with extracorporeal shock waves therapy (ESWT) and the effects of the therapy according to ESWT sequences on a chronic traumatic full-thickness rotator cuff tear (RCT) in rabbit models. For this purpose, thirty-two rabbits were randomly allocated into 4 groups. An excision was made to create a 5-mm sized full-thickness RCT right proximal to the insertion site on the supraspinatus.     Abstract In this paper we propose an efficient process of physiological artifact elimination methodology from brain waves (BW), which are also commonly known as electroencephalogram (EEG) signal. In a clinical environment during the acquisition of BW several artifacts contaminates the actual BW component. This leads to inaccurate and ambiguous diagnosis.     Abstract In this paper, we investigated the inuence of rotating half-space on the propagation of Rayleigh waves in a homogeneous isotropic, generalized thermo-elastic body, subject to the boundary conditions that the surface is traction free. In addition, it is subject to insulating thermal conduction. A general solution is obtained by using Lame’ potential’s and Hankel transform.     Abstract Analyze and compare the basic principles of ultrasonic detection of voids in concrete, choose ZBL-U520/510 non-metallic ultrasonic detector, and use the opposite detection method to test the void size in the joints of prefabricated concrete structures. The results show that: ultrasonic method by testing the waveform, sound, and speed of sound analysis can effectively determine the position of the defect, and through the conversion formula can estimate the void size.
