    Neeraj Kumar Sirohi1,*, Mamta Bansal1, S. N. Rajan2

    Journal on Big Data, Vol.3, No.1, pp. 35-47, 2021, DOI:10.32604/jbd.2021.015954 - 25 January 2021

Abstract Nowadays, data is very rapidly increasing in every domain such as social media, news, education, banking, etc. Most of the data and information is in the form of text. Most of the text contains little invaluable information and knowledge with lots of unwanted contents. To fetch this valuable information out of the huge text document, we need summarizer which is capable to extract data automatically and at the same time capable to summarize the document, particularly textual text in novel document, without losing its any vital information. The summarization could be in the form of… More >

OPPR: An Outsourcing Privacy-Preserving JPEG Image Retrieval Scheme with Local Histograms in Cloud Environment

Jian Tang, Zhihua Xia*, Lan Wang, Chengsheng Yuan, Xueli Zhao

    Journal on Big Data, Vol.3, No.1, pp. 21-33, 2021, DOI:10.32604/jbd.2021.015892 - 25 January 2021

Abstract As the wide application of imaging technology, the number of big image data which may containing private information is growing fast. Due to insufficient computing power and storage space for local server device, many people hand over these images to cloud servers for management. But actually, it is unsafe to store the images to the cloud, so encryption becomes a necessary step before uploading to reduce the risk of privacy leakage. However, it is not conducive to the efficient application of image, especially in the Content-Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) scheme. This paper proposes an outsourcing… More >

Research on Planar Double Compound Pendulum Based on RK-8 Algorithm

    Zilu Meng1, Zhehan Hu1, Zhenzhen Ai1, Yanan Zhang2,*, Kunling Shan2

    Journal on Big Data, Vol.3, No.1, pp. 11-20, 2021, DOI:10.32604/jbd.2021.015208 - 25 January 2021

Abstract Establishing the Lagrangian equation of double complex pendulum system and obtaining the dynamic differential equation, we can analyze the motion law of double compound pendulum with application of the numerical simulation of RK-8 algorithm. When the double compound pendulum swings at a small angle, the Lagrangian equation can be simplified and the normal solution of the system can be solved. And we can walk further on the relationship between normal frequency and swing frequency of double pendulum. When the external force of normal frequency is applied to the double compound pendulum, the forced vibration of More >

A New Population Initialization of Particle Swarm Optimization Method Based on PCA for Feature Selection

Shichao Wang, Yu Xue*, Weiwei Jia

    Journal on Big Data, Vol.3, No.1, pp. 1-9, 2021, DOI:10.32604/jbd.2021.010364 - 25 January 2021

Abstract In many fields such as signal processing, machine learning, pattern recognition and data mining, it is common practice to process datasets containing huge numbers of features. In such cases, Feature Selection (FS) is often involved. Meanwhile, owing to their excellent global search ability, evolutionary computation techniques have been widely employed to the FS. So, as a powerful global search method and calculation fast than other EC algorithms, PSO can solve features selection problems well. However, when facing a large number of feature selection, the efficiency of PSO drops significantly. Therefore, plenty of works have been… More >

Practical Optimization of Low-Thrust Minimum-Time Orbital Rendezvous in Sun-Synchronous Orbits

    Jian Ma1,2, Changxuan Wen3, Chen Zhang2,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.126, No.2, pp. 617-644, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2021.014474 - 21 January 2021

Abstract High-specific-impulse electric propulsion technology is promising for future space robotic debris removal in sun-synchronous orbits. Such a prospect involves solving a class of challenging problems of low-thrust orbital rendezvous between an active spacecraft and a free-flying debris. This study focuses on computing optimal low-thrust minimum-time many-revolution trajectories, considering the effects of the Earth oblateness perturbations and null thrust in Earth shadow. Firstly, a set of mean-element orbital dynamic equations of a chaser (spacecraft) and a target (debris) are derived by using the orbital averaging technique, and specifically a slow-changing state of the mean longitude difference… More >

Impacts of Disk Rock Sample Geometric Dimensions on Shear Fracture Behavior in a Punch Shear Test

    Tantan Zhu*, Yao Li

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.126, No.2, pp. 457-477, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2021.014284 - 21 January 2021

Abstract Punch shear tests have been widely used to determine rock shear mechanical properties but without a standard sample geometric dimension suggestion. To investigate the impacts of sample geometric dimensions on shear behaviors in a punch shear test, simulations using Particle Flow Code were carried out. The effects of three geometric dimensions (i.e., disk diameter, ratio of shear surface diameter to disk diameter, and ratio of disk height to shear surface diameter) were discussed. Variations of shear strength, shear stiffness, and shear dilatancy angles were studied, and the fracture processes and patterns of samples were investigated.… More >

An Efficient Algorithm Based on Spectrum Migration for High Frame Rate Ultrasound Imaging

    Shuai Feng1, Liu Jin1, Yadan Wang1, Wei Zhao1,2, Hu Peng1,*, Heyuan Qiao1

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.126, No.2, pp. 739-754, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2021.014027 - 21 January 2021

Abstract The high frame rate (HFR) imaging technique requires only one emission event for imaging. Therefore, it can achieve ultrafast imaging with frame rates up to the kHz regime, which satisfies the frame rate requirements for imaging moving tissues in scientific research and clinics. Lu’s Fourier migration method is based on a non-diffraction beam to obtain HFR images and can improve computational speed and efficiency. However, in order to obtain high-quality images, Fourier migration needs to make full use of the spectrum of echo signals for imaging, which requires a large number of Fast Fourier Transform… More >
