Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer Welcomes Prof. Chun Yang as Editor-in-Chief

We are delighted to announce that Prof. Chun Yang, from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, has been appointed as the new Editor-in-Chief of Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer (FHMT) effective from 15 March 2024.

Prof. Chun Yang is currently a Professor in the School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He obtained his B.Sc. degree from the department of Thermal Engineering of Tsinghua University, his M.Sc degree in Thermophysics from University of Science and Technology of China, and his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Alberta.


Prof. Chun Yang's research interests include the development and characterization of Lab-on-Chip devices, electrokinetic transport phenomena, microfluidics, microscale flow, heat and mass transfer, colloidal science, and surface and interfacial phenomena.


Prof. Chun Yang is an elected Fellow of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). He is active in international conferences in the field of thermophysics. He was the Conference Program Chair for 5th ASME Micro/Nanoscale Heat & Mass Transfer International Conference, and he is on the board of ASME Micro/Nanoscale Heat & Mass Transfer international Conference. He is also the Conference Chair of International Symposium on Multiscale Simulations of Thermophysics-2024 and the International Scientific Committee of the Third Asian Conference on Thermal Sciences. Prof. Chun Yang has been a reviewer for the China Chang Jiang Scholar Award, Czech Science Foundation, Dutch Technology Foundation, Israel Science Foundation, National Science Award of China, National Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada, Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research, Research Grant Council of Hong Kong, American Chemical Society - Petroleum Research Fund, and Research Grant Council of Australia.


Prof. Chun Yang's appointment heralds an exciting new era for FHMT, poised for growth and impact with his wealth of knowledge and expertise.
