    Abstract Clear cell renal cell carcinoma (KIRC) is the most common and aggressive malignancy subtype of renal neoplasm that arises from proximal convoluted tubules.     Abstract We describe a case of a rare congenital heart disorder, scimitar syndrome, diagnosed in an adult woman presenting with dyspnea on exertion, chest pain and recurrent episodes of pulmonary infections. The hallmark of the syndrome is the presence of an enlarged anomalous pulmonary vein draining into the inferior vena cava.     Abstract Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) strains are the essential cause of infections in communities and hospitals. The present study was conducted to determine the molecular typing of MRSA, isolated from hospitalized patients, using the double-locus sequence typing (DLST). In total, 280 S. aureus isolated from clinical specimens by phenotypic (catalase, coagulase, DNase, oxacillin, vancomycin screening agar and antibiotic disk diffusion), and molecular methods (PCR for determining the mecA, vanA and nuc genes).     Abstract Hole-like defects are very common in natural rock or coal mass, and play an important role in the failure and mechanical behaviors of rock or coal mass. In this research, multi-holed coal specimens are constructed numerically and calibrated based on UDEC-GBM models. Then, the strength, deformation and failure behavior of the porous specimens are analyzed, with consideration of hole density (P) and confining pressure (σ3).
