    Coordinated circRNA/lncRNA-Mediated Post-Transcriptional Regulation Balances Anthocyanin and cis-Zeatin Metabolism in Lycium ruthenicum

    Abstract Lycium ruthenicum Murray (black goji berry) is an economically important crop rich in anthocyanins, however, the post-transcriptional regulatory mechanisms underlying anthocyanin accumulation in its fruits are unknown. Here, we used whole-transcriptome sequencing to identify differentially expressed circRNAs and lncRNAs in black goji (BS4) and white goji (WS4). Furthermore, we analyzed the regulatory networks of the key ncRNAs and their target genes by combining targeted phytohormone metabolomics with molecular docking technology.     Abstract UDP-glycosyltransferases (UGTs) play essential roles in plant secondary metabolism and stress responses, yet their composition and functions in Sorghum bicolor, a model C4 plant, remain inadequately characterized. This study identified 196 SbUGT genes distributed across all 10 chromosomes and classified them into 16 subfamilies (A–P) through phylogenetic analysis. Among these, 61.2% were intronless, and 10 conserved motifs, including the UGT-specific PSPG box, were identified.     Abstract Pimenta dioica is a tropical Caribbean tree belonging to the family Myrtaceae, widely used in various human activities, including perfume production, food flavoring, natural pesticides, and medicine. This study aimed to explore the chemical composition of Pimenta dioica flower essential oil obtained via hydrodistillation using GC-MS analysis. Additionally, the oil’s tyrosinase inhibitory activity was investigated.     Abstract The Solanum genus is known for its diverse bioactive compounds, yet its diuretic potential remains understudied. This research commenced with an analysis of polyphenol and flavonoid content in Solanum elaeagnifolium leaf extract (SEFE) using colorimetric techniques, followed by HPLC-DAD to delineate its chemical composition. The aqueous extract revealed prominent constituents: naringin (12.38%), quercetin 3-O-B-D-Glucoside (27.25%), and flavone (15.26%). A 15-day study on normal rats investigated the diuretic potential of SEFE at repeated doses.
