    Aamer Khan1, Insaf Ullah2,*, Fahad Algarni3, Muhammad Naeem1, M. Irfan Uddin4, Muhammad Asghar Khan2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.70, No.3, pp. 4293-4306, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.017318

Abstract Recent years have witnessed growing scientific research interest in the Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, which supports the development of a variety of applications such as health care, Industry 4.0, agriculture, ecological data management, and other various domains. IoT utilizes the Internet as a prime medium of communication for both single documents as well as multi-digital messages. However, due to the wide-open nature of the Internet, it is important to ensure the anonymity, untraceably, confidentiality, and unforgeability of communication with efficient computational complexity and low bandwidth. We designed a light weight and secure proxy blind signcryption for multi-digital messages based… More >

Secured Data Storage Using Deduplication in Cloud Computing Based on Elliptic Curve Cryptography

    N. Niyaz Ahamed*, N. Duraipandian

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.41, No.1, pp. 83-94, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.020071

Abstract The tremendous development of cloud computing with related technologies is an unexpected one. However, centralized cloud storage faces few challenges such as latency, storage, and packet drop in the network. Cloud storage gets more attention due to its huge data storage and ensures the security of secret information. Most of the developments in cloud storage have been positive except better cost model and effectiveness, but still data leakage in security are billion-dollar questions to consumers. Traditional data security techniques are usually based on cryptographic methods, but these approaches may not be able to withstand an attack from the cloud server's… More >

An IoT Based Secure Patient Health Monitoring System

    Kusum Yadav1, Ali Alharbi1, Anurag Jain2,*, Rabie A. Ramadan1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.70, No.2, pp. 3637-3652, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.020614

Abstract Internet of things (IoT) field has emerged due to the rapid growth of artificial intelligence and communication technologies. The use of IoT technology in modern healthcare environments is convenient for doctors and patients as it can be used in real-time monitoring of patients, proper administration of patient information, and healthcare management. However, the usage of IoT in the healthcare domain will become a nightmare if patient information is not securely maintained while transferring over an insecure network or storing at the administrator end. In this manuscript, the authors have developed a secure IoT healthcare monitoring system using the Blockchain-based XOR… More >

Secure and Light Weight Elliptic Curve Cipher Suites in SSL/TLS

    B. Arunkumar*, G. Kousalya

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.40, No.1, pp. 179-190, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.018166

Abstract In the current circumstance, e-commerce through an online banking system plays a significant role. Customers may either buy goods from E-Commerce websites or use online banking to move money to other accounts. When a user participates in these types of behaviors, their sensitive information is sent to an untrustworthy network. As a consequence, when transmitting data from an internal browser to an external E-commerce web server using the cryptographic protocol SSL/TLS, the E-commerce web server ensures the security of the user’s data. The user should be pleased with the confidentiality, authentication, and authenticity properties of the SSL/TLS on both the… More >

Cogent and Energy Efficient Authentication Protocol for WSN in IoT

    Tariq Mahmood Butt1, Rabia Riaz1, Chinmay Chakraborty2, Sanam Shahla Rizvi3, Anand Paul4,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.68, No.2, pp. 1877-1898, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.014966

Abstract Given the accelerating development of Internet of things (IoT), a secure and robust authentication mechanism is urgently required as a critical architectural component. The IoT has improved the quality of everyday life for numerous people in many ways. Owing to the predominantly wireless nature of the IoT, connected devices are more vulnerable to security threats compared to wired networks. User authentication is thus of utmost importance in terms of security on the IoT. Several authentication protocols have been proposed in recent years, but most prior schemes do not provide sufficient security for these wireless networks. To overcome the limitations of… More >

Security of Chip Bank Card in Remote Payment Based on Risk Feature

    Zheng Fang1,∗, Junyun Cai1, Lifang Tian2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.35, No.4, pp. 299-305, 2020, DOI:10.32604/csse.2020.35.299

Abstract Payment is a necessary thing in people’s daily life, and the development of the Internet makes it possible that people can shop at home. As for chip bank card, it is an important payment method that has been developed in recent years and plays a key role in remote payment. In this study, firstly, the risk features of chip bank cards were analyzed from the general remote payment scheme. Then, based on the security technology theory, a chip bank card remote payment model using elliptic curve hybrid encryption algorithm and identity authentication technology was constructed. In terms of security testing,… More >

    Poomagal C T1,∗, Sathish kumar G A2, Deval Mehta3

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.35, No.1, pp. 51-63, 2020, DOI:10.32604/csse.2020.35.051

Abstract The burgeoning network communications for multiple applications such as commercial, IoT, consumer devices, space, military, and telecommunications are facing many security and privacy challenges. Over the past decade, the Internet of Things (IoT) has been a focus of study. Security and privacy are the most important problems for IoT applications and are still facing huge difficulties. To promote this high-security IoT domain and prevent security attacks from unauthorized users, keys are frequently exchanged through a public key exchange algorithm. This paper introduces a novel algorithm based on Elliptic Curve Cryptography(ECC) for multi-level Public Key Exchange and Encryption Mechanism. It also… More >

A User Authentication Protocol Combined with the Trust Model, Biometrics and ECC for Wireless Sensor Networks

Tao Liu, Gan Huang*, Ping Zhang

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.24, No.3, pp. 519-529, 2018, DOI:10.31209/2018.100000019

Abstract In this article, a new user authentication protocol using trust model, elliptic curve cryptography and biometrics for WSNs is submitted. The result of the trust model analysis indicates that the model can improve the model’s ability of withstanding attacks from the malicious nodes. The results of safety analysis and performance analysis for our proposed user authentication protocol demonstrate that this protocol can be flexible to all sorts of common known attacks and performs similarly or better compared with some active user authentication protocols. It is suitable for WSNs which have a prominent request for the security and the performance. More >

Optimal Adaptive Genetic Algorithm Based Hybrid Signcryption Algorithm for Information Security

    R. Sujatha1, M. Ramakrishnan2, N. Duraipandian3, B. Ramakrishnan4

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.105, No.1, pp. 47-68, 2015, DOI:10.3970/cmes.2015.105.047

Abstract The functions of digital signature and public key encryption are simultaneously fulfilled by signcryption, which is a cryptographic primitive. To securely communicate very large messages, the cryptographic primitive called signcryption efficiently implements the same and while most of the public key based systems are suitable for small messages, hybrid encryption (KEM-DEM) provides a competent and practical way. In this paper, we develop a hybrid signcryption technique. The hybrid signcryption is based on the KEM and DEM technique. The KEM algorithm utilizes the KDF technique to encapsulate the symmetric key. The DEM algorithm utilizes the Adaptive Genetic Algorithm based Elliptic curve… More >
