    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.74, No.2, pp. 2415-2430, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.031352

Abstract This study aims to solve the nonlinear fractional-order mathematical model (FOMM) by using the normal and dysregulated bone remodeling of the myeloma bone disease (MBD). For the more precise performance of the model, fractional-order derivatives have been used to solve the disease model numerically. The FOMM is preliminarily designed to focus on the critical interactions between bone resorption or osteoclasts (OC) and bone formation or osteoblasts (OB). The connections of OC and OB are represented by a nonlinear differential system based on the cellular components, which depict stable fluctuation in the usual bone case and unstable fluctuation through the MBD.… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.74, No.2, pp. 2575-2588, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.029046

Abstract The current investigations are presented to solve the fractional order HBV differential infection system (FO-HBV-DIS) with the response of antibody immune using the optimization based stochastic schemes of the Levenberg-Marquardt backpropagation (LMB) neural networks (NNs), i.e., LMBNNs. The FO-HBV-DIS with the response of antibody immune is categorized into five dynamics, healthy hepatocytes (H), capsids (D), infected hepatocytes (I), free virus (V) and antibodies (W). The investigations for three different FO variants have been tested numerically to solve the nonlinear FO-HBV-DIS. The data magnitudes are implemented 75% for training, 10% for certification and 15% for testing to solve the FO-HBV-DIS with… More >

    Tahir Khan1, Rahman Ullah1, Thabet Abdeljawad2,3,*, Manar A. Alqudah4, Faizullah Faiz5

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.135, No.2, pp. 1295-1313, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.022177

Abstract We propose a theoretical study investigating the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) reported in Wuhan City of China in 2019. We develop a mathematical model based on the novel corona virus's characteristics and then use fractional calculus to fractionalize it. Various fractional order epidemic models have been formulated and analyzed using a number of iterative and numerical approaches while the complications arise due to singular kernel. We use the well-known Caputo-Fabrizio operator for the purposes of fictionalization because this operator is based on the non-singular kernel. Moreover, to analyze the existence and uniqueness, we will use the well-known fixed… More >

Improved Clamped Diode Based Z-Source Network for Three Phase Induction Motor

    D. Bensiker Raja Singh1,*, R. Suja Mani Malar2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.36, No.1, pp. 683-702, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.028492

Abstract The 3Φ induction motor is a broadly used electric machine in industrial applications, which plays a vital role in industries because of having plenty of beneficial impacts like low cost and easiness but the problems like decrease in motor speed due to load, high consumption of current and high ripple occurrence of ripples have reduced its preferences. The ultimate objective of this study is to control change in motor speed due to load variations. An improved Trans Z Source Inverter (ΓZSI) with a clamping diode is employed to maintain constant input voltage, reduce ripples and voltage overshoot. To operate induction… More >

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.36, No.1, pp. 745-760, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.028011

Abstract Interacting The highest storage capacity of a circular tank makes it popular in process industries. Because of the varying surface area of the cross-sections of the tank, this two-tank level system has nonlinear characteristics. Controlling the flow rate of liquid is one of the most difficult challenges in the production process. This proposed effort is critical in preventing time delays and errors by managing the fluid level. Several scholars have explored and explored ways to reduce the problem of nonlinearity, but their techniques have not yielded better results. Different types of controllers with various techniques are implemented by the proposed… More >

Abstract The motive of these investigations is to provide the importance and significance of the fractional order (FO) derivatives in the nonlinear environmental and economic (NEE) model, i.e., FO-NEE model. The dynamics of the NEE model achieves more precise by using the form of the FO derivative. The investigations through the non-integer and nonlinear mathematical form to define the FO-NEE model are also provided in this study. The composition of the FO-NEE model is classified into three classes, execution cost of control, system competence of industrial elements and a new diagnostics technical exclusion cost. The mathematical FO-NEE system is numerically studied… More >

    Thongchai Botmart1, Qusain Hiader2, Zulqurnain Sabir3, Muhammad Asif Zahoor Raja4, Wajaree Weera1,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.74, No.1, pp. 559-573, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.031871

Abstract The goal of this research is to introduce the simulation studies of the vector-host disease nonlinear system (VHDNS) along with the numerical treatment of artificial neural networks (ANNs) techniques supported by Levenberg-Marquardt backpropagation (LMQBP), known as ANNs-LMQBP. This mechanism is physically appropriate, where the number of infected people is increasing along with the limited health services. Furthermore, the biological effects have fading memories and exhibit transition behavior. Initially, the model is developed by considering the two and three categories for the humans and the vector species. The VHDNS is constructed with five classes, susceptible humans , infected humans , recovered… More >

A Fractional Order Fast Repetitive Control Paradigm of Vienna Rectifier for Power Quality Improvement

    Sue Wang1, Xintao Luo1,*, Saleem Riaz2, Haider Zaman3, Chaohong Zhou1, Pengfei Hao1

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.134, No.2, pp. 1159-1176, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.021850

Abstract Due to attractive features, including high efficiency, low device stress, and ability to boost voltage, a Vienna rectifier is commonly employed as a battery charger in an electric vehicle (EV). However, the 6k ± 1 harmonics in the acside current of the Vienna rectifier deteriorate the THD of the ac current, thus lowering the power factor. Therefore, the current closed-loop for suppressing 6k ± 1 harmonics is essential to meet the desired total harmonic distortion (THD). Fast repetitive control (FRC) is generally adopted; however, the deviation of power grid frequency causes delay link in the six frequency fast repetitive control… More >

An Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System to Improve Fractional Order Controller Performance

    N. Kanagaraj*

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.35, No.3, pp. 3213-3226, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.029901

Abstract The design and analysis of a fractional order proportional integral derivate (FOPID) controller integrated with an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) is proposed in this study. A first order plus delay time plant model has been used to validate the ANFIS combined FOPID control scheme. In the proposed adaptive control structure, the intelligent ANFIS was designed such that it will dynamically adjust the fractional order factors (λ and µ) of the FOPID (also known as PIλDµ) controller to achieve better control performance. When the plant experiences uncertainties like external load disturbances or sudden changes in the input parameters, the stability… More >
