    Abstract This study highlights the regulatory potential antibacterial and antiradical of Origanum elongatum essential oil (EO), an endemic medicinal plant of Morocco used for its various properties. The chemical composition of the EO was characterized using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). In the present study, untargeted metabolomic analysis using GC-MS and LC-MS was performed to detect metabolites in fermented pine needles at different fermentation stages.     Abstract This study is the first to evaluate the phytochemical content and biological properties of Tunisian T. platyphyllos Scop. A total of 23 compounds of essential oils were identified by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis of bracts and fruit extracts. The results show that oxygenated monoterpenes were the dominant class of essential oils. The phenolic composition was investigated by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization-time of flight (MALDI-TOF).     Abstract This study aimed to identify the chemical composition of essential oil from fruits (EOAF) and the hexanic crude extract from aerial parts (At-Hex) of atemoya (Annona cherimola x Annona squamosa), a hybrid belonging to the Annonaceae family. Cytotoxic and antimicrobial activity was also evaluated.     Abstract Rice-Tartary buckwheat (RTB) is a special germplasm of Tartary buckwheat. In this study, the appraisal of taste quality between RTB and conventional Tartary buckwheat (CTB) was presented, and the metabolites in kernels at three typical grain filling stage (GFS) were investigated. Unlike CTB, RTB showed thin shell seeds without longitudinal furrows at maturity, which was easily artificially dehulled.     Abstract The purpose of this study was to evaluate the antagonistic activity of two endophytic fungal strains, Pseudocercospora kaki and Penicillium sclerotiorum, isolated from the leaves of Camellia sinensis, against the rice blast pathogen Magnaporthe grisea. The inhibitory activity of the two endophytes against M. grisea in dual-culture was compared with that in monoculture.     Analysis of volatile compounds in three unifloral native Chilean honeys

    Abstract Three unifloral honeys were identified by the pronounced presence of specific compounds by means of sensorial analysis and SPME-GC-MS. Smoky and resinous (‘propolis’) odors characterized unifloral “quillay” (Quillaja saponaria) honey. “Corontillo” (Escallonia pulverulenta) honey was characterized by caramel and vanillin aromas, and “ulmo” (Eucryphia cordifolia) honey by having an anise scent with a floral jasmine note. Safranal was a useful marker for “corontillo” honey. Isophorone and cetoisophorone were the distinctive compounds of unifloral “ulmo” honey.
