A Dual Discriminator Method for Generalized Zero-Shot Learning

    Tianshu Wei1, Jinjie Huang1,2,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.79, No.1, pp. 1599-1612, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2024.048098

Abstract Zero-shot learning enables the recognition of new class samples by migrating models learned from semantic features and existing sample features to things that have never been seen before. The problems of consistency of different types of features and domain shift problems are two of the critical issues in zero-shot learning. To address both of these issues, this paper proposes a new modeling structure. The traditional approach mapped semantic features and visual features into the same feature space; based on this, a dual discriminator approach is used in the proposed model. This dual discriminator approach can further enhance the consistency between… More >

    Haomiao Wang1, Jinxi Wang2, Qingmei Sui2,*, Faye Zhang2, Yibin Li1, Mingshun Jiang2, Phanasindh Paitekul3

    Structural Durability & Health Monitoring, Vol.18, No.2, pp. 91-110, 2024, DOI:10.32604/sdhm.2023.041522

Abstract Due to their robust learning and expression ability for complex features, the deep learning (DL) model plays a vital role in bearing fault diagnosis. However, since there are fewer labeled samples in fault diagnosis, the depth of DL models in fault diagnosis is generally shallower than that of DL models in other fields, which limits the diagnostic performance. To solve this problem, a novel transfer residual Swin Transformer (RST) is proposed for rolling bearings in this paper. RST has 24 residual self-attention layers, which use the hierarchical design and the shifted window-based residual self-attention. Combined with transfer learning techniques, the… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.77, No.1, pp. 1143-1164, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.037161

Abstract Currently, data security mainly relies on password (PW) or system channel key (SKCH) to encrypt data before they are sent, no matter whether in broadband networks, the 5th generation (5G) mobile communications, satellite communications, and so on. In these environments, a fixed password or channel key (e.g., PW/SKCH) is often adopted to encrypt different data, resulting in security risks since this PW/SKCH may be solved after hackers collect a huge amount of encrypted data. Actually, the most popularly used security mechanism Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) has its own problems, e.g., several rounds have been solved. On the other hand, if… More >

Reversible Data Hiding with Contrast Enhancement Using Bi-histogram Shifting and Image Adjustment for Color Images

Goma Tshivetta Christian Fersein Jorvialom1,2, Lord Amoah1,2,*

    Journal of Quantum Computing, Vol.4, No.3, pp. 183-197, 2022, DOI:10.32604/jqc.2022.039913

Abstract Prior versions of reversible data hiding with contrast enhancement (RDHCE) algorithms strongly focused on enhancing the contrast of grayscale images. However, RDHCE has recently witnessed a rise in contrast enhancement algorithms concentrating on color images. This paper implies a method for color images that uses the RGB (red, green, and blue) color model and is based on bi-histogram shifting and image adjustment. Bi-histogram shifting is used to embed data and image adjustment to achieve contrast enhancement by adjusting the images resulting from each channel of the color images before combining them to generate the final enhanced image. Images are first… More >

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.137, No.1, pp. 489-508, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.025169

Abstract The extended Kalman filter (EKF) algorithm and acceleration sensor measurements were used to identify vehicle mass and road gradient in the work. Four different states of fixed mass, variable mass, fixed slope and variable slope were set to simulate real-time working conditions, respectively. A comprehensive electric commercial vehicle shifting strategy was formulated according to the identification results. The co-simulation results showed that, compared with the recursive least square (RLS) algorithm, the proposed algorithm could identify the real-time vehicle mass and road gradient quickly and accurately. The comprehensive shifting strategy formulated had the following advantages, e.g., avoiding frequent shifting of vehicles… More > Graphic Abstract
