Qiucheng Sun*, Weiyu Dai, Mingyu Sun, Zeming Ren, Mingze Wang

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.75, No.2, pp. 3957-3970, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.037254

Abstract In the traditional fringe projection profilometry system, the projector and the camera light center are both spatially virtual points. The spatial position relationships specified in the model are not easy to obtain, leading to inaccurate system parameters and affecting measurement accuracy. This paper proposes a method for solving the system parameters of the fringe projection profilometry system, and the spatial position of the camera and projector can be adjusted in accordance with the obtained calibration parameters. The steps are as follows: First, in accordance with the conversion relationship of the coordinate system in the calibration process, the calculation formula of… More >

Clustering Reference Images Based on Covisibility for Visual Localization

    Sangyun Lee1, Junekoo Kang2, Hyunki Hong2,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.75, No.2, pp. 2705-2725, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.034136

Abstract In feature-based visual localization for small-scale scenes, local descriptors are used to estimate the camera pose of a query image. For large and ambiguous environments, learning-based hierarchical networks that employ local as well as global descriptors to reduce the search space of database images into a smaller set of reference views have been introduced. However, since global descriptors are generated using visual features, reference images with some of these features may be erroneously selected. In order to address this limitation, this paper proposes two clustering methods based on how often features appear as well as their covisibility. For both approaches,… More >

ECG Heartbeat Classification Under Dataset Shift

    Zhiqiang He*

    Journal of Intelligent Medicine and Healthcare, Vol.1, No.2, pp. 79-89, 2022, DOI:10.32604/jimh.2022.036624

Abstract Electrocardiogram (ECG) is widely used to detect arrhythmia. Atrial fibrillation, atrioventricular block, premature beats, etc. can all be diagnosed by ECG. When the distribution of training data and test data is inconsistent, the accuracy of the model will be affected. This phenomenon is called dataset shift. In the real-world heartbeat classification system, the heartbeat of the training set and test set often comes from patients of different ages and genders, so there are differences in the distribution of data sets. The main challenge in applying machine learning algorithms to clinical AI systems is dataset shift. Test-time adaptation (TTA) aims to… More >

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.36, No.2, pp. 2165-2176, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.031840

Abstract Fifth generation (5G) wireless networks must meet the needs of emerging technologies like the Internet of Things (IoT), Vehicle-to-everything (V2X), Video on Demand (VoD) services, Device to Device communication (D2D) and many other bandwidth-hungry multimedia applications that connect a huge number of devices. 5G wireless networks demand better bandwidth efficiency, high data rates, low latency, and reduced spectral leakage. To meet these requirements, a suitable 5G waveform must be designed. In this work, a waveform namely Shaped Offset Quadrature Phase Shift Keying based Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (SOQPSK-OFDM) is proposed for 5G to provide bandwidth efficiency, reduced spectral leakage, and… More >

Highly Stereoselective Polymerization of Racemic Lactide by Bimetallic Schiff Base Complexes

Zhiqiang Sun, Ranlong Duan, Han Zhang, Xuan Pang*, Xianhong Wang, Xuesi Chen

    Journal of Renewable Materials, Vol.3, No.2, pp. 82-90, 2015, DOI:10.7569/JRM.2014.634133

Abstract A series of bimetallic Salen aluminum (III) complexes with different steric substituents were synthesized. These complexes were used as catalysts to produce polylactide in the ring-opening polymerization of racemic lactide. A kinetic research of polymerization demonstrated that the steric substituents on the phenolate ring of the complexes had remarkable infl uence on the stereoselectivity and the polymerization activity. The highest stereoselectivity was obtained with bulky substituent on the ortho position of the salicylidene moieties. Kinetic studies using all these complexes indicated that the polymerizations were fi rst-ordered with respect to lactide monomers. All these complexes gave highly isotactic polylactides with… More >

    Kamal Shah1,2, Hafsa Naz2, Thabet Abdeljawad1,3,*, Aziz Khan1, Manar A. Alqudah4

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.134, No.2, pp. 941-955, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.021483

Abstract In this manuscript, an algorithm for the computation of numerical solutions to some variable order fractional differential equations (FDEs) subject to the boundary and initial conditions is developed. We use shifted Legendre polynomials for the required numerical algorithm to develop some operational matrices. Further, operational matrices are constructed using variable order differentiation and integration. We are finding the operational matrices of variable order differentiation and integration by omitting the discretization of data. With the help of aforesaid matrices, considered FDEs are converted to algebraic equations of Sylvester type. Finally, the algebraic equations we get are solved with the help of… More >

    BIOCELL, Vol.46, No.11, pp. 2455-2463, 2022, DOI:10.32604/biocell.2022.021661

Abstract Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell (MSC)-based therapy is a novel candidate for heart repair. But ischemia-reperfusion injury leads to low viability of MSC. Dexmedetomidine (Dex) has been found to protect neurons against ischemia-reperfusion injury. It remains unknown if Dex could increase the viability of MSCs under ischemia. The present study is to observe the potential protective effect of Dex on MSCs under ischemia and its underlying mechanisms. Specific mRNAs related to myocardial ischemia in the GEO database were selected from the mRNA profiles assessed in a previous study using microarray. The most dysregulated mRNAs of the specific ones from the… More >

    M. Antony Joans Kumar1,*, C. Christopher Columbus2, E. Ben George3, T. Ajith Bosco Raj4

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.44, No.2, pp. 1735-1747, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.025906

Abstract The sensitive data stored in the public cloud by privileged users, such as corporate companies and government agencies are highly vulnerable in the hands of cloud providers and hackers. The proposed Virtual Cloud Storage Architecture is primarily concerned with data integrity and confidentiality, as well as availability. To provide confidentiality and availability, the file to be stored in cloud storage should be encrypted using an auto-generated key and then encoded into distinct chunks. Hashing the encoded chunks ensured the file integrity, and a newly proposed Circular Shift Chunk Allocation technique was used to determine the order of chunk storage. The… More >
