Cross-Tier Interference Mitigation in 3D HetNets for LTE and Wi-Fi Access

    M. Rekha1,*, M. Bhuvaneswari2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.35, No.1, pp. 1211-1227, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.027368

Abstract Due to the unprecedented rate of transformation in the field of wireless communication industry, there is a need to prioritise the coverage, network power and throughput as preconditions. In Heterogeneous Networks (HetNets) the low power node inclusion like Femto and Pico cells creates a network of Multi-Tier (M-Tier) which is regarded as the most significant strategy for enhancing the coverage, throughput, 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) ability. This work mainly focuses on M-Tier 3D Heterogeneous Networks Energy Efficiency (EE) based Carrier Aggregation (CA) scheme for streaming real-time huge data like images. At first, M-Tier 3D HetNets scheme was made for… More >

Routing Protocol in Underwater Wireless Acoustic Communication Using Non Orthogonal Multiple Access

    J. V. Anand1, R. Praveena2,*, T. R. Ganesh Babu2

    Journal on Internet of Things, Vol.3, No.4, pp. 139-147, 2021, DOI:10.32604/jiot.2021.016747

Abstract The underwater wireless communication with the complexity of attenuation and low propagation speed makes resource constraints in networking sensor nodes and sink. Underwater Sensor Transmission with Attenuation Calculation using Non Orthogonal Multiple Access (UWSTAC-NOMA) protocol has been proposed. This protocol calculates channel gain along with attenuation in underwater channels and provides internetworking sensor for rate allocation minimizing interference. Successive Interference Cancellation has been used at the receiving sensor to decode the information sent. The network level performance of sensors and increasing the data rate improves the overall throughput. Simultaneously, connecting several sensors to sink based on its depth region of… More >

An Efficient Scheme for Interference Mitigation in 6G-IoT Wireless Networks

    Fahd N. Al-Wesabi1,*, Imran Khan2, Nadhem Nemri3, Mohammed A. Al-Hagery4, Huda G. Iskander5, Quang Ngoc Nguyen6, Babar Shah7, Ki-Il Kim8

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.69, No.3, pp. 3889-3902, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.016218

Abstract The Internet of Things (IoT) is the fourth technological revolution in the global information industry after computers, the Internet, and mobile communication networks. It combines radio-frequency identification devices, infrared sensors, global positioning systems, and various other technologies. Information sensing equipment is connected via the Internet, thus forming a vast network. When these physical devices are connected to the Internet, the user terminal can be extended and expanded to exchange information, communicate with anything, and carry out identification, positioning, tracking, monitoring, and triggering of corresponding events on each device in the network. In real life, the IoT has a wide range… More >

Interference Mitigation in D2D Communication Underlying Cellular Networks: Towards Green Energy

Rana Zeeshan Ahamad1, Abdul Rehman Javed2,*, Shakir Mehmood3, Mohammad Zubair Khan4, Abdulfattah Noorwali5, Muhammad Rizwan6

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.68, No.1, pp. 45-58, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.016082

Abstract Device to Device (D2D) communication is emerging as a new participant promising technology in 5G cellular networks to promote green energy networks. D2D communication can improve communication delays, spectral efficiency, system capacity, data off-loading, and many other fruitful scenarios where D2D can be implemented. Nevertheless, induction of D2D communication in reuse mode with the conventional cellular network can cause severe interference issues, which can significantly degrade network performance. To reap all the benefits of induction of D2D communication with conventional cellular communication, it is imperative to minimize interference’s detrimental effects. Efficient power control can minimize the negative effects of interference… More >

Fingerprint-Based Millimeter-Wave Beam Selection for Interference Mitigation in Beamspace Multi-User MIMO Communications

    Sangmi Moon1, Hyeonsung Kim1, Seng-Phil Hong2, Mingoo Kang3, Intae Hwang1,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.66, No.1, pp. 59-70, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.013132

Abstract Millimeter-wave communications are suitable for application to massive multiple-input multiple-output systems in order to satisfy the ever-growing data traffic demands of the next-generation wireless communication. However, their practical deployment is hindered by the high cost of complex hardware, such as radio frequency (RF) chains. To this end, operation in the beamspace domain, through beam selection, is a viable solution. Generally, the conventional beam selection schemes focus on the feedback and exhaustive search techniques. In addition, since the same beam in the beamspace may be assigned to a different user, conventional beam selection schemes suffer serious multi-user interference. In addition, some… More >
