Sheng Bai, Feng Bao*, Fengzhi Zhao, Miaomiao Liu

    FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Vol.16, No.5, pp. 935-946, 2020, DOI:10.32604/fdmp.2020.010113

Abstract The main objective of the present study is the development of a new algorithm that can adapt to complex and changeable environments. An artificial fish swarm algorithm is developed which relies on a wireless sensor network (WSN) in a hydrodynamic background. The nodes of this algorithm are viscous fluids and artificial fish, while related ‘events’ are directly connected to the food available in the related virtual environment. The results show that the total processing time of the data by the source node is 6.661 ms, of which the processing time of crosstalk data is 3.789 ms, accounting for 56.89%. The… More >

The Application of Sparse Reconstruction Algorithm for Improving Background Dictionary in Visual Saliency Detection

    Lei Feng1,2, Haibin Li1,*, Yakun Gao1, Yakun Zhang1

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.26, No.4, pp. 831-839, 2020, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2020.010117

Abstract In the paper, we apply the sparse reconstruction algorithm of improved background dictionary to saliency detection. Firstly, after super-pixel segmentation, two bottom features are extracted: the color information of LAB and the texture features of the image by Gabor filter. Secondly, the convex hull theory is used to remove object region in boundary region, and K-means clustering algorithm is used to continue to simplify the background dictionary. Finally, the saliency map is obtained by calculating the reconstruction error. Compared with the mainstream algorithms, the accuracy and efficiency of this algorithm are better than those of other algorithms. More >

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.26, No.4, pp. 765-771, 2020, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2020.010111

Abstract The organic combination of the independent innovation and open innovation opens a new pattern of innovation. Under the background of the open independent innovation, the cooperative innovation model of the school and enterprise is established, and an optimal development path model of the cooperative innovation of the school and enterprise based on the fuzzy decision control algorithm is proposed. Based on the rough set theory, a path search model of the cooperative innovation between a school and enterprise is established under the background of the open independent innovation. Under the background of the open independent innovation, the fuzzy decision-making method… More >

    Jinxing Niu1, *, Yajie Jiang1, Yayun Fu1, Tao Zhang1, Nicola Masini2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.65, No.1, pp. 807-816, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.011044

Abstract Video surveillance system is used in various fields such as transportation and social life. The bad weather can lead to the degradation of the video surveillance image quality. In rainy environment, the raindrops and the background are mixed, which lead to make the image degradation, so the removal of the raindrops has great significance for image restoration. In this article, after analyzing the inter-frame difference method in detecting and removing raindrops, a background difference method is proposed based on Gaussian model. In this method, the raindrop is regarded as a moving object relative to the background. The principle and procedure… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.65, No.1, pp. 511-527, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.09841

Abstract To troubleshoot two problems arising from the segmentation of manganese nodule images-uneven illumination and morphological defects caused by white sand coverage, we propose, with reference to features of manganese nodules, a method called “background gray value calculation”. As the result of the image procession with the aid this method, the two problems above are solved eventually, together with acquisition of a segmentable image of manganese nodules. As a result, its comparison with other segmentation methods justifies its feasibility and stability. Judging from simulation results, it is indicated that this method is applicable to repair the target shape in the image,… More >

Effect of immersion in solutions with 6-benzylaminopurine on the germination and growth of seeds of Ginkgo biloba L.

Boschi CL, M Palazuelos, E Gandolfo

    Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany, Vol.83, pp. 341-346, 2014, DOI:10.32604/phyton.2014.83.341

Abstract Ginkgo biloba seed germination has hormonal inhibitors. Because of this, it has to be stratified in cold (4 °C) for 9 weeks before planting. This study evaluated other management by dipping prior to the sowing of seeds in solutions of 6-benzylaminopurine (BA) to obviate those nine-week waiting period and thus increase seedling growth period during the first year of cultivation. Dose experiments were performed combining BA and cold days. Treatments were two solutions with BA (2.5 ppm and 5 ppm), four periods of cold stratification (25, 31, 38 and 49 days) and two growth conditions:(a) in pots and (b) in… More >

Comparative Study of the Propagation of Jet Noise in Static and Flow Environments

Wen Zhao, Dongxing Mao*, Zaixiu Jiang

    Sound & Vibration, Vol.53, No.1, pp. 37-46, 2019, DOI:10.32604/sv.2019.04368

Abstract In order to analyze the effect of the background flow on the sound prediction of fine-scale turbulence noise, the sound spectra from static and flow environments are compared. It turns out that, the two methods can obtain similar predictions not only at 90 deg to the jet axis but also at mid- and high frequencies in other directions. The discrepancies of predictions from the two environments show that the effect of the jet flow on the sound propagation is related to low frequencies in the downstream and upstream directions. It is noted that there is an obvious advantage of computational… More >

A three-dimensional meshless scheme with background grid for electrostatic-structural analysis

    Ming-Hsiao Lee1,2, Wen-Hwa Chen1, Yu-Ching Shih2

The International Conference on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences, Vol.11, No.1, pp. 5-6, 2009, DOI:10.3970/icces.2009.011.005

Abstract In the electrostatic-structural problems as encountered in many electrostatic driven MEMS devices, the electrostatic analysis domain is often extremely distorted due to the deflection of the structure. This kind of problem is difficult to deal with by almost all kinds of available numerical methods. A new three-dimensional meshless scheme with background grid is thus proposed herein to solve those difficulties in numerical simulations.
By this scheme, a three-dimensional fixed background grid with regularly distributed nodes is utilized. Another set of discretized boundary grid is employed to describe both the surface boundaries of the structure and the electrostatic field. The analysis… More >

Real-Time Moving Targets Detection in Dynamic Scenes

    Fan Li1, Yang Yang

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.107, No.2, pp. 103-124, 2015, DOI:10.3970/cmes.2015.107.103

Abstract The shift of the camera leads to unsteadiness of backgrounds in video sequences. The motion of camera will results in mixture of backgrounds and foregrounds motion. So it is a challenge for targets detection in dynamic scenes. A realtime moving target detection algorithm with low complexity in dynamic scenes is proposed in this paper. Sub-block based image registration is applied to remove the global motion of the video frame. Considering the blocks in one frame have different motion vectors, the global motion of each block is separately estimated. Then, a neighbor-based background modeling is applied to extract the moving objects.… More >
