Behavioral Decision-Making of Key Stakeholders in Public-Private Partnerships: A Hybrid Method and Benefit Distribution Study

    Guoshuai Sun1,2,3, Wanyi Zhang1, Jiuying Dong4,*, Shuping Wan2, Jiao Feng5

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.136, No.3, pp. 2895-2934, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.025652

Abstract Public-private partnerships (PPPs) have been used by governments around the world to procure and construct infrastructural amenities. It relies on private sector expertise and funding to achieve this lofty objective. However, given the uncertainties of project management, transparency, accountability, and expropriation, this phenomenon has gained tremendous attention in recent years due to the important role it plays in curbing infrastructural deficits globally. Interestingly, the reasonable benefit distribution scheme in a PPP project is related to the behavior decision-making of the government and social capital, as well as the performance of the project. In this paper, the government and social capital… More >

Long noncoding RNA PPP1R14B-AS1 imitates microRNA-134-3p to facilitate breast cancer progression by upregulating LIM and SH3 protein 1

    LIMIN ZHOU1, LIANBO ZHANG2, XIN GUAN3, YI DONG1, TAO LIU1,*

    Oncology Research, Vol.29, No.4, pp. 251-262, 2021, DOI:10.32604/or.2022.03582

Abstract Long noncoding RNA PPP1R14B antisense RNA 1 (PPP1R14B-AS1) has emerged as a critical modulator of liver cancer and lung adenocarcinoma progression. However, the functional importance and biological relevance of PPP1R14B-AS1 in breast cancer remain unclear. Therefore, this study was designed to detect PPP1R14B-AS1 levels in breast cancer cells using qRT–PCR and elucidate the influence of PPP1R14B-AS1 on aggressive phenotypes. Furthermore, molecular events mediating the action of PPP1R14B-AS1 were characterized in detail. Functional experiments addressed the impacts of PPP1R14B-AS1 knockdown on breast cancer cells. In this study, PPP1R14B-AS1 was found to be overexpressed in breast cancer, exhibiting a close correlation with… More >

Modeling and Prediction of Inter-System Bias for GPS/BDS-2/BDS-3 Combined Precision Point Positioning

    Zejie Wang1, Qianxin Wang1,*, Sanxi Li2

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.132, No.3, pp. 823-843, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.020106

Abstract The combination of Precision Point Positioning (PPP) with Multi-Global Navigation Satellite System (MultiGNSS), called MGPPP, can improve the positioning precision and shorten the convergence time more effectively than the combination of PPP with only the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS). However, the Inter-System Bias (ISB) measurement of Multi-GNSS, including the time system offset, the coordinate system difference, and the inter-system hardware delay bias, must be considered for Multi-GNSS data fusion processing. The detected ISB can be well modeled and predicted by using a quadratic model (QM), an autoregressive integrated moving average model (ARIMA), as well as the sliding window strategy… More >

PPP: Prefix-Based Popularity Prediction for Efficient Content Caching in Contentcentric Networks

    Jianji Ren1, Shan Zhao1, Junding Sun1, Ding Li2, Song Wang3, Zongpu Jia1

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.33, No.4, pp. 259-265, 2018, DOI:10.32604/csse.2018.33.259

Abstract In the Content-Centric Networking (CCN) architecture, popular content can be cached in some intermediate network devices while being delivered, and the following requests for the cached content can be efficiently handled by the caches. Thus, how to design in-network caching is important for reducing both the traffic load and the delivery delay. In this paper, we propose a caching framework of Prefix-based Popularity Prediction (PPP) for efficient caching in CCN. PPP assigns a lifetime (in a cache) to the prefix of a name (of each cached object) based on its access history (or popularity), which is represented as a Prefix-Tree… More >
