    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.41, No.1, pp. 373-387, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.020452 - 08 October 2021

Abstract Multi-level searching is called Drill down search. Right now, no drill down search feature is available in the existing search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing and Baidu. Drill down search is very much useful for the end user to find the exact search results among the huge paginated search results. Higher level of drill down search with category based search feature leads to get the most accurate search results but it increases the number and size of the file system. The purpose of this manuscript is to implement a big data storage reduction binary file… More >

    N. Niyaz Ahamed*, N. Duraipandian

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.41, No.1, pp. 83-94, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.020071 - 08 October 2021

Abstract The tremendous development of cloud computing with related technologies is an unexpected one. However, centralized cloud storage faces few challenges such as latency, storage, and packet drop in the network. Cloud storage gets more attention due to its huge data storage and ensures the security of secret information. Most of the developments in cloud storage have been positive except better cost model and effectiveness, but still data leakage in security are billion-dollar questions to consumers. Traditional data security techniques are usually based on cryptographic methods, but these approaches may not be able to withstand an… More >

    JUAN ZHANG2, JUN HUANG3, YAYUAN TANG2, XIUZHEN LONG1

    BIOCELL, Vol.46, No.1, pp. 195-205, 2022, DOI:10.32604/biocell.2022.016563 - 28 September 2021

Abstract Age-related declines in fertilization success have been reported for a wide range of species. The fertilization of parasitic wasps is closely related to egg production and sperm storage. Aenasius bambawalei (Hymenoptera: Encyridae) is a key parasitic wasp of the important invasive mealybug Phenacoccus solenopsis (Hemiptera: Pseudococcidae). The female offspring ratio of this parasitic wasp was declined with parental age in mass rearing under laboratory conditions. To investigate the molecular mechanisms involved in the reproduction of A. bambawalei, an extensive analysis of the impact of age on transcriptome profile of mated ovaries of this wasp was performed by comparing… More >

Abstract On average, every two years, the amount of data existing globally doubles. Software development will be affected and improved by Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS). The number of problems remained even though developments helped Information Technology experts extract better value from their storage investments. Because of poor interoperability between different vendors and devices, countless numbers of Storage Area Networks were created. Network setup used for data storage includes a complex and rigid arrangement of routers, switch, hosts/servers, storage arrays. We have evaluated the performance of routing protocol Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and Fibre Channel Protocol (FCP) under More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.70, No.2, pp. 2797-2813, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.020140 - 27 September 2021

Abstract (Aim) To make a more accurate and precise COVID-19 diagnosis system, this study proposed a novel deep rank-based average pooling network (DRAPNet) model, i.e., deep rank-based average pooling network, for COVID-19 recognition. (Methods) 521 subjects yield 1164 slice images via the slice level selection method. All the 1164 slice images comprise four categories: COVID-19 positive; community-acquired pneumonia; second pulmonary tuberculosis; and healthy control. Our method firstly introduced an improved multiple-way data augmentation. Secondly, an n-conv rank-based average pooling module (NRAPM) was proposed in which rank-based pooling—particularly, rank-based average pooling (RAP)—was employed to avoid overfitting. Third, a… More >

Effectiveness Assessment of the Search-Based Statistical Structural Testing

Yang Shi*, Xiaoyu Song, Marek Perkowski, Fu Li

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.70, No.2, pp. 2191-2207, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.018718 - 27 September 2021

Abstract Search-based statistical structural testing (SBSST) is a promising technique that uses automated search to construct input distributions for statistical structural testing. It has been proved that a simple search algorithm, for example, the hill-climber is able to optimize an input distribution. However, due to the noisy fitness estimation of the minimum triggering probability among all cover elements (Tri-Low-Bound), the existing approach does not show a satisfactory efficiency. Constructing input distributions to satisfy the Tri-Low-Bound criterion requires an extensive computation time. Tri-Low-Bound is considered a strong criterion, and it is demonstrated to sustain a high fault-detecting… More >

    Xiaoshan Guo1,2, Dandan Huang2, Siyu Wen2, Yang Bai2, Shuhua Zhu2,*, Jianrong Feng1,*

    Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany, Vol.91, No.2, pp. 409-427, 2022, DOI:10.32604/phyton.2022.018022 - 26 September 2021

Abstract Low-temperature storage is convenient for postharvest preservation of peach fruit, but peach fruit is sensitive to cold damage, which lowers its quality. Nitric oxide (NO) has the potential to improve the bitter resistance of peach fruit. In this work, peach fruit was treated with 15 μmol L−1 NO and 5 μmol L−1 c-PTIO [2-(4-carboxyphenyl)-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxo-3-oxide], to study changes in mitochondrial fatty acids and expression of the C-repeat binding factor (CBF). The results showed that 15 μmol L−1 exogenous NO significantly maintained fruit quality, reduced peroxidation of mitochondrial fatty acids, increased the activities of the antioxidants superoxide dismutase (SOD),… More >
