    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.134, No.1, pp. 495-516, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.020386

Abstract Due to the large number of finite element mesh generated, it is difficult to use full-scale model to simulate largesection underground engineering, especially considering the coupling effect. A regional model is attempted to achieve this simulation. A variable boundary condition method for hybrid regional model is proposed to realize the numerical simulation of large-section tunnel construction. Accordingly, the balance of initial ground stress under asymmetric boundary conditions achieves by applying boundary conditions step by step with secondary development of Dynaflow scripts, which is the key issue of variable boundary condition method implementation. In this paper, Gongbei tunnel based on hybrid… More >

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.44, No.3, pp. 2007-2018, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.025516

Abstract The Internet of Things (IoT) is converting today’s physical world into a complex and sophisticated network of connected devices on an enormous scale. The existing malicious node detection mechanism in traditional approaches lacks in transparency, availability, or traceability of the detection phase. To overcome these concerns, we provide a decentralized technique using blockchain technology. Despite the fact that blockchain technology is applicable to create that type of models, existing harmony set of instructions are susceptible to do violence to such as DoS and Sybil, making blockchain systems unfeasible. Here, a new Proof-of-Improved-Participation (PoIP) harmony instruction was suggested that benefits the… More >

    Shun Kang1, Xun Yuan1, Changwu Liu1,*, Yulin Chen1, Xianliang Zhou1, Haikuan Wu2, Zhiguo Ma3

    Journal of Renewable Materials, Vol.10, No.12, pp. 3521-3538, 2022, DOI:10.32604/jrm.2022.021694

Abstract Part of the tunnel spoil can not be used for concrete due to alkali-aggregate reaction (AAR). Water is an indispensable condition for AAR, so separating the alkali-aggregate from water is of great benefit to controlling the AAR. This paper investigates the modification of concrete and aggregate by hydrophobic impregnation and organic coating and then evaluates their waterproof and mechanical properties by dynamic contact angle (DCA), ultrasonic wave velocity, scanning electron microscope (SEM), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and so on. For waterproofness, hydrophobic impregnation and organic coating can both improve the waterproofness of concrete and aggregate. The organic coating is suitable… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.73, No.2, pp. 2577-2589, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.028757

Abstract In recent years, Blockchain is gaining prominence as a hot topic in academic research. However, the consensus mechanism of blockchain has been criticized in terms of energy consumption and performance. Although Proof-of-Authority (PoA) consensus mechanism, as a lightweight consensus mechanism, is more efficient than traditional Proof-of-Work (PoW) and Proof-of-Stake (PoS), it suffers from the problem of centralization. To this end, on account of analyzing the shortcomings of existing consensus mechanisms, this paper proposes a dynamic reputation-based consensus mechanism for blockchain. This scheme allows nodes with reputation value higher than a threshold apply to become a monitoring node, which can monitor… More >

    Shengjun Deng1,2,3, Haolin Chen1, Xiaonan Gong2, Jiajin Zhou2, Xiangdong Hu4, Gang Jiang1,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.132, No.1, pp. 251-266, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.020388

Abstract Freeze-sealing pipe roof method is applied in the Gongbei tunnel, which causes the ground surface uplift induced by frost heave. A frost heaving prediction approach based on the coefficient of cold expansion is proposed to simulate the ground deformation of the Gongbei tunnel. The coefficient of cold expansion in the model and the frost heaving rate from the frost heave test under the hydration condition can achieve a good correspondence making the calculation result closer to the actual engineering. The ground surface uplift along the lateral and longitudinal direction are respectively analyzed and compared with the field measured data to… More >

    Yuzhuo Wang1,2, Zhichao Xu2,*

    FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Vol.18, No.4, pp. 897-906, 2022, DOI:10.32604/fdmp.2022.018972

Abstract Polyurethane is enjoying a widespread use as a polymer-based waterproof material in civil engineering In the present study we consider a temperature-sensitive waterproof and moisture-permeable polyurethane material (PTPE-PU) characterized by one or more phase transition temperatures (critical temperatures). Near the critical temperature, the waterproof and moisture permeability of polyurethane undergo abrupt changes. The related stability, thermal performance, water resistance, hydrostatic pressure, and moisture permeability are investigated here considering a PTPE-PU traditionally used in bridge geotechnical engineering. The results show that the moisture permeability of the coated bridge rock and soil undergo sudden variations near the crystallization and melting temperature of… More >

    Yongli Tang1, Yuanhong Li1, Qing Ye1,*, Ying Li1, Xiaojun Wang2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.72, No.2, pp. 4069-4085, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.026820

Abstract Although the existing group signature schemes from lattice have been optimized for efficiency, the signing abilities of each member in the group are relatively single. It may not be suitable for complex applications. Inspired by the pioneering work of Bellare and Fuchsbauer, we present a primitive called policy-based group signature. In policy-based group signatures, group members can on behalf of the group to sign documents that meet their own policies, and the generated signatures will not leak the identity and policies of the signer. Moreover, the group administrator is allowed to reveal the identity of signer when a controversy occurs.… More >
