    D. Lourdu Immaculatea , R. Muthurajb,*, Anant Kant Shuklac, S. Srinivasd

Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.7, pp. 1-14, 2016, DOI:10.5098/hmt.7.12

Abstract This article aims to examine the MHD unsteady flow of Williamson nanofluid in a vertical channel filled with a porous material and oscillating wall temperature. The modeling of this problem is transformed to ordinary differential equations by collecting the non-periodic and periodic terms and then series solutions are obtained by using a powerful method known as the homotopy analysis method (HAM). The influence of involved parameters on heat and mass transfer characteristics of the fluid flow is computed and presented graphically. Further, variations on volume flow rate, coefficient of skin friction, heat transfer rate and mass transfer rate are also… More >

    S. Harinath Reddya , M.C. Rajua,*, E. Keshava Reddyb

Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.7, pp. 1-9, 2016, DOI:10.5098/hmt.7.21

Abstract This manuscript presents a detailed numerical study on the influence of radiation absorption and chemical reaction on unsteady magneto hydrodynamic free convective heat and mass transfer flow. A heat generating Casson fluid past an oscillating vertical plate embedded in a porous medium in the presence of constant wall temperature and concentration is considered. The non-dimensional governing equations along with the corresponding boundary conditions are solved using Finite difference method numerically. Effects of various emerging flow parameters on concentration, temperature and velocity distributions are presented graphically and analyzed. Expressions for skin-friction, Nusselt number and Sherwood number are also obtained. Effects of… More >

SEHER YILMAZ1,2,*, ZÜLEYHA DOĞANYIĞIT3, MERT OCAK4, EVRIM SUNA ARIKAN SÖYLEMEZ5, ASLI OKAN OFLAMAZ3, SÜMEYYE UÇAR6, ŞÜKRÜ ATEŞ1, AMMAD AHMAD FAROOQI7

    Oncology Research, Vol.32, No.1, pp. 175-185, 2024, DOI:10.32604/or.2023.042350

Abstract Melatonin is a versatile indolamine synthesized and secreted by the pineal gland in response to the photoperiodic information received by the retinohypothalamic signaling pathway. Melatonin has many benefits, such as organizing circadian rhythms and acting as a powerful hormone. We aimed to show the antitumor effects of melatonin in both in vivo and in vitro models through the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) signaling pathway and the Argyrophilic Nucleolar Regulatory Region (AgNOR), using the Microcomputed Tomography (Micro CT). Ehrlich ascites carcinoma (EAC) cells were administered into the mice by subcutaneous injection. Animals with solid tumors were injected intraperitoneally with 50… More > Graphic Abstract

EFFECT OF CHEMICAL REACTION AND RADIATION ON UNSTEADY CONVECTIVE HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER FLOW OF A VISCOUS FLUID IN A VERTICAL WAVY CHANNEL WITH OSCILLATORY FLUX AND HEAT SOURCES

P.V.S. Kamalakara,*, R. Raghavender Raoa, D.R.V. Prasada Raob

Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.7, pp. 1-9, 2016, DOI:10.5098/hmt.7.2

Abstract In this paper we discuss the effect of chemical reaction and thermal radiation on unsteady free convective heat and mass transfer flow through a porous medium in a vertical wavy channel. The unsteadiness in the flow is due to the oscillatory flux in the flow region. The coupled equations governing the flow, heat and mass transfer have been solved by using a perturbation technique with the slope  of the wavy wall as the perturbation parameter. The expression for the velocity, the temperature, the concentration, the rate of heat and mass transfer are derived and are analyzed for different variations… More >

Analysis of Sub-Synchronous Oscillation of Virtual Synchronous Generator and Research on Suppression Strategy in Weak Grid

Chongyang Zhao, Wei Chai, Beibei Rui, Lin Chen*

    Energy Engineering, Vol.120, No.11, pp. 2683-2705, 2023, DOI:10.32604/ee.2023.029620

Abstract At present, the direct drive permanent magnet synchronous generator (DD-PMSG) grid connected system based on virtual synchronous generator (VSG) control will experience power oscillation at sub synchronous frequencies. The mechanism and characteristics of this new type of sub-synchronous interaction (SSI) are not yet clear, and the system cannot recover to steady state solely based on the characteristics of VSG itself. Especially when connected to a weak current network, oscillations are more pronounced, affecting the stability of the system. In severe cases, the system may trigger shutdown protection and be disconnected from the network. Existing research has only analyzed the oscillation… More >

Abstract Complex networks on the Internet of Things (IoT) and brain communication are the main focus of this paper. The benefits of complex networks may be applicable in the future research directions of 6G, photonic, IoT, brain, etc., communication technologies. Heavy data traffic, huge capacity, minimal level of dynamic latency, etc. are some of the future requirements in 5G+ and 6G communication systems. In emerging communication, technologies such as 5G+/6G-based photonic sensor communication and complex networks play an important role in improving future requirements of IoT and brain communication. In this paper, the state of the complex system considered as a… More >

Exploiting Data Science for Measuring the Performance of Technology Stocks

    Tahir Sher1, Abdul Rehman2, Dongsun Kim2,*, Imran Ihsan1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.76, No.3, pp. 2979-2995, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.036553

Abstract The rise or fall of the stock markets directly affects investors’ interest and loyalty. Therefore, it is necessary to measure the performance of stocks in the market in advance to prevent our assets from suffering significant losses. In our proposed study, six supervised machine learning (ML) strategies and deep learning (DL) models with long short-term memory (LSTM) of data science was deployed for thorough analysis and measurement of the performance of the technology stocks. Under discussion are Apple Inc. (AAPL), Microsoft Corporation (MSFT), Broadcom Inc., Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (TSM), NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA), and Avigilon Corporation (AVGO). The datasets… More >

    Valérie Berger1,2,*, Hélène Hoarau1,2, Florence Saillour3,4

    Psycho-Oncologie, Vol.17, No.3, pp. 159-166, 2023, DOI:10.32604/po.2023.044727

More >
