    Rashmi Sharma1, Ashok Pal1, Nitin Mittal2, Lalit Kumar2, Sreypov Van3, Yunyoung Nam3,*, Mohamed Abouhawwash4,5

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.78, No.3, pp. 3489-3510, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2024.046606

Abstract This study proposes a hybridization of two efficient algorithm’s Multi-objective Ant Lion Optimizer Algorithm (MOALO) which is a multi-objective enhanced version of the Ant Lion Optimizer Algorithm (ALO) and the Genetic Algorithm (GA). MOALO version has been employed to address those problems containing many objectives and an archive has been employed for retaining the non-dominated solutions. The uniqueness of the hybrid is that the operators like mutation and crossover of GA are employed in the archive to update the solutions and later those solutions go through the process of MOALO. A first-time hybrid of these algorithms is employed to solve… More >

Improved Ant Lion Optimizer with Deep Learning Driven Arabic Hate Speech Detection

    Abdelwahed Motwakel1,*, Badriyya B. Al-onazi2, Jaber S. Alzahrani3, Sana Alazwari4, Mahmoud Othman5, Abu Sarwar Zamani1, Ishfaq Yaseen1, Amgad Atta Abdelmageed1

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.46, No.3, pp. 3321-3338, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.033901

Abstract Arabic is the world’s first language, categorized by its rich and complicated grammatical formats. Furthermore, the Arabic morphology can be perplexing because nearly 10,000 roots and 900 patterns were the basis for verbs and nouns. The Arabic language consists of distinct variations utilized in a community and particular situations. Social media sites are a medium for expressing opinions and social phenomena like racism, hatred, offensive language, and all kinds of verbal violence. Such conduct does not impact particular nations, communities, or groups only, extending beyond such areas into people’s everyday lives. This study introduces an Improved Ant Lion Optimizer with… More >

Hybridization of Fuzzy and Hard Semi-Supervised Clustering Algorithms Tuned with Ant Lion Optimizer Applied to Higgs Boson Search

    Soukaina Mjahed1,*, Khadija Bouzaachane1, Ahmad Taher Azar2,3, Salah El Hadaj1, Said Raghay1

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.125, No.2, pp. 459-494, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2020.010791

Abstract This paper focuses on the unsupervised detection of the Higgs boson particle using the most informative features and variables which characterize the “Higgs machine learning challenge 2014” data set. This unsupervised detection goes in this paper analysis through 4 steps: (1) selection of the most informative features from the considered data; (2) definition of the number of clusters based on the elbow criterion. The experimental results showed that the optimal number of clusters that group the considered data in an unsupervised manner corresponds to 2 clusters; (3) proposition of a new approach for hybridization of both hard and fuzzy clustering… More >

Optimal Tuning for Load Frequency Control Using Ant Lion Algorithm in Multi‐Area Interconnected Power System

Nour EL Yakine Koubaa, Mohamed Menaaa, Kambiz Tehranib, Mohamed Boudoura

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.25, No.2, pp. 279-294, 2019, DOI:10.31209/2018.100000007

Abstract This paper presents the use of a novel nature inspired meta-heuristic algorithm namely Ant Lion Optimizer (ALO), which is inspired from the ant lions hunting mechanism to enhance the frequency regulation and optimize the load frequency control (LFC) loop parameters. The frequency regulation issue was formulated as an optimal load frequency control problem (OLFC). The proposed ALO algorithm was applied to reach the best combination of the PID controller parameters in each control area to achieve both frequency and tie-line power flow exchange deviations minimization. The control strategy has been tested firstly with the standard two-area power system, followed by… More >
