Blockzone: A Decentralized and Trustworthy Data Plane for DNS

    Ning Hu1, Shi Yin1, Shen Su1, *, Xudong Jia1, Qiao Xiang2, Hao Liu3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.65, No.2, pp. 1531-1557, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.010949

Abstract The domain name system (DNS) provides a mapping service between memorable names and numerical internet protocol addresses, and it is a critical infrastructure of the Internet. The authenticity of DNS resolution results is crucial for ensuring the accessibility of Internet services. Hundreds of supplementary specifications of protocols have been proposed to compensate for the security flaws of DNS. However, DNS security incidents still occur frequently. Although DNS is a distributed system, for a specified domain name, only authorized authoritative servers can resolve it. Other servers must obtain the resolution result through a recursive or iterative resolving procedure, which renders DNS… More >

Quantum Blockchain: A Decentralized, Encrypted and Distributed Database Based on Quantum Mechanics

    Chuntang Li1, Yinsong Xu1, Jiahao Tang1, Wenjie Liu1,2,*

    Journal of Quantum Computing, Vol.1, No.2, pp. 49-63, 2019, DOI:10.32604/jqc.2019.06715

Abstract Quantum blockchain can be understood as a decentralized, encrypted and distributed database based on quantum computation and quantum information theory. Once the data is recorded in the quantum blockchain, it will not be maliciously tampered with. In recent years, the development of quantum computation and quantum information theory makes more and more researchers focus on the research of quantum blockchain. In this paper, we review the developments in the field of quantum blockchain, and briefly analyze its advantages compared with the classical blockchain. The construction and the framework of the quantum blockchain are introduced. Then we introduce the method of… More >

The Accuracy of Mathematical Models in Simulator Distributed Computing

    I. Kvasnica1, P. Kvasnica2

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.107, No.6, pp. 447-462, 2015, DOI:10.3970/cmes.2015.107.447

Abstract The issue of simulation of decentralized mathematical models is discussed in the paper. The authors’ knowledge is based on a theory of design of decentralized computer control systems. Their knowledge is gained in the process of designing mathematical models that are simulated. A decomposed control system is required to meet the conditions of observation and control. The methodology of a multi-model design is based on main principles of object orientation such as abstraction, hierarchy, and modularity. Modelling on a parallel architecture has an impact on a simulator system. The system is defined by the equations shown below. An important part… More >
