    Abstract Graphene oxide (GO) has shown great potential in agricultural applications, however, its concentration-dependent effects on cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) growth, nutrient absorption, and root architecture remain unclear. In the present study, a hydroponic experiment was conducted with different GO concentrations (0.5, 1.0, and 2.0 mg L−1) and setting the non-GO treatment (0.0 mg L−1) as the control for cucumber plants (cv. Qingbaizao).     Growth Techniques and Phase Characterization of Sn1−xErxTe Crystals

    Abstract Erbium-doped SnTe (Sn1−xErxTe) single crystals were synthesized to investigate the influence of erbium incorporation on phase stability, crystal structure, and thermophysical behavior relevant to thermoelectric applications. Single crystals with nominal compositions x = 0.00–0.10 were grown using the vertical Bridgman technique under controlled thermal conditions. X-ray diffraction analysis confirmed that at low erbium concentrations (x ≤ 0.02–0.03), erbium is substitutionally incorporated into the cubic NaCl-type SnTe lattice without detectable secondary phases.     Evaluation of Commercial Potting Substrates for Reproducible Growth of Arabidopsis thaliana and Nicotiana tabacum under Laboratory Conditions

    Abstract The potting substrate is an important determinant of post-germination growth in Arabidopsis thaliana and Nicotiana tabacum under controlled laboratory conditions. We evaluated four commercially available soil substrates—Sta-Green potting mix plus fertilizer (SPM), Sta-Green flower & vegetable garden soil plus fertilizer (SGS), Miracle-Gro potting mix (MPM), and Miracle-Gro raised bed soil (MBS)—to assess their effects on seed germination and post-germination growth. Germination rates did not differ significantly among substrates for either species.
