Influencing Factors of Total Factor Energy Efficiency in Bohai Rim Region Based on DEA-Tobit Model

    Weifeng Gong1,3, Xiaohong Qi2, Chuanhui Wang1,*, Wenwen Li1,3, Yang Xu4

    Energy Engineering, Vol.119, No.4, pp. 1663-1679, 2022, DOI:10.32604/ee.2022.018886

Abstract Bohai Rim region is an important economic development area and a large carbon emission area in China. It is of great significance to explore the total factor energy efficiency and its influencing factors for the low carbon transformation and high-quality development of the Bohai Rim region. Based on the total factor energy efficiency framework, the DDF-DEA model was used to calculate the total factor energy efficiency, and the internal and external differences of the total factor energy efficiency were further analyzed. The internal and external influencing factors were determined by ML index method and classical endogenous growth theory, and then… More >

Modeling and Experimental Study for Automotive Dry Clutch Sliding Noise

Jiali Yu, Zhili Xiang, Defeng Zhang, Yubing Gong*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.131, No.3, pp. 1653-1667, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.019280

Abstract Automotive dry clutches have been found to produce a low frequency sliding noise in many applications, which challenges the ride comfort of vehicles. In order to study this clutch sliding noise, a detailed finite element model including both a pressure plate assembly and a driven plate assembly was developed. Based on this model, a complex eigenvalue analysis is performed in this research. The effect of several major factors on the clutch sliding noise, such as the coefficient of friction, the clamping force, the geometric imperfection of the friction plate, and the thermal deformation of the pressure plate, were investigated numerically.… More >

Influencing Factors Analysis of Rehabilitation for Patients with Spinal Cord Injury

    Min Rao1, Yufeng Li1,*, Hongye Liu2, Isabel Wang3, Yongjun Ren4

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.34, No.1, pp. 455-466, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.027694

Abstract The aim of spinal cord injury rehabilitation is to increase the independent ability of patients, so that patients can return to society and live a creative life. Regaining independence living is the primary goal of rehabilitation. Rehabilitation of patients with spinal cord injury is a long and lengthy process, which needs comprehensive dimensions support from medical workers, family members, and social support. At present, medical institutions and researchers mainly focus on the level of physical recovery and the treatment of complications in patients with spinal cord injury and pay less attention to social factors during the rehabilitation treatment of patients.… More >

Aging Characteristics and Influencing Factors of the Sheds of Composite Insulators in Karst Regions of China

    Wei Zhao1, Miao Jiang2, Jun Dong1, Lee Li2,*

    Energy Engineering, Vol.118, No.6, pp. 1755-1766, 2021, DOI:10.32604/EE.2021.015467

Abstract In recent years, more and more high-voltage overhead transmission lines were built passing through the karst regions in southwestern China. This type of special landform seems to have an adverse effect on the aging of the sheds of the line suspension composite insulators, which may lead to unexpected flashover and line tripping. In order to find out the particularity of the aging characteristics of insulators operating in the karst regions, samples in operation were selected from both the karst regions and the flatlands. Hydrophobicity, amount of surface contamination, and contaminant composition of the sheds were studied, then a comparison of… More >

Sentiment Analytics: Extraction of Challenging Influencing Factors from COVID-19 Pandemics

Mahmoud Oglah Al Hasan Baniata*, Sohail Asghar

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.30, No.3, pp. 821-836, 2021, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2021.018612

Abstract The advancement in electronic devices and communication technologies in social media have introduced major changes in today’s communication and people have accepted such communicational habits at a rapid pace. The changes involve the way people started interacting with each other, and modern mean of discovering new groups of people, and individuals with similar mindsets, mutual interests, and ideas to share with. As far as the communities are concerned, there are so many social drives (such as “Say No to Plastic”) that need to be discussed on a certain platform for their promotion. Although, it’s quit is challenging, but with the… More >

Influencing Factors of Load Carrying Capacity and Cooperative Work Laws of Metro Uplift Piles

    Bo Liu1,*, Haoran Li1, Shuya Liu2

    Structural Durability & Health Monitoring, Vol.14, No.3, pp. 249-264, 2020, DOI:10.32604/sdhm.2020.06482

Abstract The buoyancy of groundwater can reduce the foundation bearing capacity and cause the metro tunnels to float as a whole, which threatens the safety of structures seriously. Therefore, uplift piles are set up to improve the structural stability. In this paper, FLAC3D software is used to establish the calculation models of pile foundation. The bearing failure process of uplift piles was simulated to study the influencing factors on single pile load bearing capacity as well as the cooperative work laws of pile groups. The load-displacement curves of pile top under different length-diameter ratios, pile-soil interface characteristics and pile types are… More >

Analysis of Factors Affecting the Profits of Closed-Loop Supply Chain Members Under Different Subsidy Objects

    Jing-Hua Zhao1,†, Da-Lin Zeng2,*, Ting-Wei Zhou1,‡, Yan Hui3,§, Na Sun1,¶

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.35, No.3, pp. 127-139, 2020, DOI:10.32604/csse.2020.35.127

Abstract Based on the research hypothesis in a fully competitive closed-loop supply chain for mixed recycling channels, different closed-loop supply chain pricing models are established for the government’s strategy of adopting different subsidies (consumers, retailers, manufacturers or third-party recyclers). In this work, we use game theory to establish a price formula, and identify the factors affecting the profit of five closed-loop supply chain members. Through solution verification, the sales channel pricing, the recycling channel pricing and the channel member profit change of the closed-loop supply chain under different subsidy objects are compared after changing only one influencing factor. By providing a… More >

The Factor Analysis of University English Examination Results Based on the Multilevel Model

    Shaoyun Long1,*, Qianying Long2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.26, No.3, pp. 585-595, 2020, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2020.013937

Abstract The traditional factor analysis models, such as the generalized linear regression model and the gistic regression model have disadvantages of large standard error of analysis results. For this purpose, a multilevel factor analysis model based on time series and independent variable data is designed. The OLS estimation analysis method is used to establish the basic environment form, to derive the model calculation parameters and to complete the environment construction of the multilevel analysis model. On the basis of the construction environment, the double-level environment reference module and the multilevel factor analysis module are designed to realize the design of the… More >
